🍂 Welcome, Autumn! 🍂

The first day of autumn is here — cooler mornings, cosy afternoons… and mysteriously tighter necks from sleeping like a pretzel under the doona 😅

As the weather changes, it’s a great time to check in with your body — because stiffness, niggles and “I’m fine” shoulders tend to show up right about now.

Autumn body check-in:
✅ Neck & shoulders feeling tight?
✅ Lower back getting grumpy in the mornings?
✅ Training + sport ramping up again?
✅ Headaches popping back in?

If you’re nodding along, we’re here to help you move easier and feel better — so you can actually enjoy the season (and not just complain about the earlier sunsets).

👇 Tell us: Are you an Autumn person or do you miss summer already?

We’re open as usual — just fully booked next week (2–6 March).

If you head to our online booking page and it looks like there are no appointments available, it’s because next week is currently at capacity. If you’d like to be contacted if an earlier appointment becomes available due to a cancellation, please text “WAITLIST” + your full name + the day/time you’d prefer to 0422 474 595 and our team will be in touch if a suitable time opens up.

Otherwise, you’re welcome to book the next available appointment online here: https://eclipsehealth.com.au/bookings/

(If you think you may need follow-up visits, booking a couple ahead can help secure the times that suit you best — we can always adjust them if needed.)

He might be one of the biggest dogs we’ve ever had in clinic — I’ve genuinely seen smaller ponies 😅🐶🐴

This beautiful older Great Dane came in for a calm, hands-on canine osteopathy session focused on supporting comfortable movement and easy mobility. As our giant breeds age, those long limbs, big joints and heavy frames can place extra load through the hips, shoulders and spine. It’s common to notice them slowing down, hesitating before getting up, or being a little less keen on longer walks.

Our approach is gentle and tailored on the day, working through areas of tension and restriction to help them move as comfortably as possible.

We always recommend keeping your vet in the loop, especially with senior dogs, and we’re happy to liaise if needed.

If your older dog seems stiff, slower to rise, or just not quite themselves, you’re welcome to get in touch.

Consistency beats intensity — because the best training plan is the one you can actually stick to.

If something keeps making you skip sessions, avoid certain lifts, reduce your training load, or constantly “train around it”, it’s a good time to get it checked — before it turns into a bigger setback.

At Eclipse Health and Osteopathy, we see plenty of gym-goers who aren’t in “serious pain” — they just want to move better, train consistently, and feel confident under load. We’ll take the time to understand what you’re feeling, how it shows up in your training, and what might be contributing (training volume, technique changes, old injuries, desk work, recovery, etc.). From there, we’ll map out a practical plan that fits your goals and routine.

We’re accepting new patients and open Monday to Saturday. To book, use our online booking via eclipsehealth.com.au, or call reception on 07 5613 3505 and we’ll help you find an appointment time that suits.

Pelvic pain is common — and it’s not “just one thing”. It can involve hips/pelvic joints, pelvic floor muscles, lower back, nerves, and sometimes bladder/bowel or reproductive factors.

It can feel like:
• aching/sharp pain low tummy, groin, hips, tailbone or low back
• pain with sitting, walking, training, or rolling in bed
• heaviness/tightness in the pelvic floor
• pain that changes with stress, load, or your cycle

What can help (general):
• reduce the one activity that flares it most for a week (often heavy lifting, impact, long sitting)
• keep gentle daily movement (walking/mobility)
• heat if it’s soothing
• track patterns: triggers, cycle timing, training changes

How osteopathy may help:
We assess movement and tension around the pelvis, hips, low back, abdominal wall and breathing mechanics, then build a clear plan to improve comfort and confidence with movement. We’ll also refer to your GP / pelvic health physio if needed.

🚩 See a GP urgently if pelvic pain comes with fever, sudden severe worsening, possible pregnancy/bleeding, or new bladder/bowel changes.

If this has been hanging around, book in for an assessment.

Training going well… except for that one thing?

Common “gym problems” we see:
• cranky shoulders with pressing
• tight hips/low back after squats + deadlifts
• niggly knees with lunges or running
• neck tightness + headaches (often from bracing, stress, desk work)

If something keeps popping up, a session can help you understand the why, settle things down, and tighten up your plan so you can keep training with confidence.

Principal Osteopath at Eclipse Health and Osteopathy, with 10+ years’ clinical experience helping people move with more ease and confidence.

Anna’s approach is thorough, practical, and patient-centred. She takes the time to listen carefully, assess how your body is moving, and explain what she’s finding in clear, easy-to-understand language — so you feel informed and supported throughout your care. Treatment is tailored to you and may include hands-on osteopathic care, exercise prescription, and simple strategies you can use day-to-day to support longer-term change.

Anna has also completed training dry needling, which may be used as part of an individualised treatment plan when appropriate.

Areas of interest include:
• Pelvic pain (including pregnancy/post-partum support and persistent pelvic discomfort)
• Jaw pain / TMJ tension (clenching, headaches, neck/jaw tightness)
• Neck pain and related headaches
• Lower back pain and hip discomfort
• Vertigo / dizziness (where appropriate for osteopathic assessment and care)
• Sports and training-related issues (overload, mobility restrictions, stubborn niggles)
• Animal osteopathy 🐾

If you’re sore, stiff, dizzy, or just not moving like yourself, Anna will help you understand what’s going on and build a plan forward.
