But sport has the power to change lives, and this new campaign is showing how.

Disability Sports Australia's new storytelling series tells the powerful stories of three Australians whose lives were transformed by sport.

Launching during Disability Action Week, the series shines a light on the gap in participation for people with disability and celebrates how sport can change lives.

A massive congrats to athlete on his first track meet in over 5 years. After only a 5-6 endurance sessions, Josh decided to enter the 100m and 200m at the Qld All Schools Champs.

The result, 2 PB's 19.87 in the 100m and 4th, 35.27 in the 200m and 2nd, which qualifies him for the Qld Team for the in .

As a teenager, Jessica Hull was supported by an ASC Local Sporting Champions grant.

Now, she’s a World Championship medallist. 🥉🇦🇺

👉 Applications for Local Sporting Champions grants are open now for athletes, coaches and officials aged 12–18 competing at state, national or international level.

Last year's inaugural 4km Wheelchair Race was a huge success! There year it has been added to the Gold Coast Marathon as a 5km Wheelchair Race for beginners and juniors.

You only have till midnight Sunday June 22, to enter either the 5km Wheelchair Race, 10km Wheelchair Race or the Wheelchair Marathon.

If you haven't entered and want to race, get your entry in today.

A massive congrats to Tony who had his first ever competition in a racing wheelchair at the Qld Athletics Champs this weekend.
