3️⃣ Step-heavy day (8,000 +): Same structure, but keep normal carbs and fats — your body earns them.

5️⃣ Night out: Eat well earlier, don’t arrive starving, enjoy yourself. Optional reset next morning — skip breakfast, go for a walk, and you’re back on track by lunch.

The Mobility Checklist For Over 40’s Who Are Sick of Waking Up with Stiff Sore Achy Joints

I just put together a 5-minute mobility routine for ex-athletes over 40 who are now business owners, stiff from sitting too long, and sick of feeling like their body’s slowing them down.

It’s a do anywhere routine using foam rolling + mobility drills to unlock stiff hips, tight low backs, and tense shoulders, without needing an hour or a gym.

“Everyone has a plan… until they get punched in the face.” Or in our world… until the kids get sick.

Everything’s humming along, then life throws you a brick!

The kids get sick.
Work blows up.
The car dies.

Next minute, your nutrition plan’s in the bin and you have eaten the entire pizza plus dessert!

Most people don’t fail because they can’t follow a plan.
They fail because they never planned for when life hits the fan.

You already know your triggers.
But do you have a trigger that brings you back?

Here’s one I use with clients inside my new “Tighten Up in 28” fat loss program & it works whether the chaos was planned or not:

✅ Fast the next morning (skip breakfast)
✅ Move—walk, gym, swim, whatever feels doable
✅ The rest of the day: – is as easy as 1,2,3.
1️⃣ Prioritize protein - 1.6-2g per kg
2️⃣ Fill up on fibre - at least 30g total
3️⃣ Cut the 💩- You don’t need me to explain this one do you?

No guilt. No “start again Monday.”
Just a bounce-back switch you can flip anytime.

Can’t find anything healthy that’s quick, filling and actually tastes good?

These hit all three and they’re made from pantry staples.

Most people fail because their meals are either boring, confusing, or take forever to prep.

These don’t.

They’re high-protein, low fuss, and actually fill you up without 47 ingredients or an air fryer the size of your microwave.

I call them Tuna/Salmon Protein Cakes and they’ve saved the day for tons of my clients.

3 of these and you’ve knocked out 60g of protein, under 600 cals, and you’ll still feel light and energised.

If you’re 40+ and trying to reclaim your body, recipes like this make it way easier to stay on track without overthinking every bite.

*Nana’s tips… make your mash as dry just potatoes there is enough moisture in the egg and salmon/tuna.

Add patties to the fridge for 20-30min before frying. Helps to hold them together better

If they get too running add a little breadcrumbs 😉

Ingredients
3 medium potatoes
200g tuna or salmon
1 egg
50g flour
Salt & Pepper
Light Olive Oil Spray
