That ache in your lower back might be more than just tight muscles.

It could be hormonal….

During your cycle (or through perimenopause), your body releases hormone-like chemicals called prostaglandins.

These help the uterus contract but when produced in excess, they can also trigger inflammation and cramping in your lower back, hips, and thighs, especially if there’s an existing weakness or tension in the area.

Supporting your body through these hormonal shifts can make a huge difference.

We worked through our hamstrings, shoulders & core today.

Areas that often feel tight and restricted in movement. Improving mobility in these spots helps with reducing stiffness & pain.

This then helps us to more freely in our daily life 👌🏻

My daughter’s gorgeous little Corgi pup!

Whenever they visit, he fills our home with so much joy, laughter, and cheeky energy.

He’s quickly become our little “grand fur-baby” and we couldn’t love him more.

Spent last Sunday with friends & my little brother playing some lawn bowls. We laughed way too much and maybe got a bit competitive 🤭

It reminded me that movement doesn’t always have to be a workout in the gym. It can be as simple as getting outside, trying something new, and having fun with the people you love. 💛

That’s exactly what I encourage at MelonXfitness: finding ways to move that feel good, enjoyable, and keep you coming back for more.
