Changes to Medicare referrals in 2026 are making it easier for families to access support 🤍

From March 2026, the M10 referral pathway has expanded, allowing more children and young people to access Medicare-rebated Speech Pathology services — including support for:
🗣️ Stuttering
🔤 Speech sound disorders
👶 Cleft lip & palate

This means more families can access early intervention and ongoing therapy with reduced costs ✨ 

If you have concerns about your child’s communication or development, speaking with your GP about an M10 referral could be a great first step.

✨ Meet Lucy ✨

We are so excited to (re)introduce Lucy, our wonderful Administration Assistant here at Creative Minds Therapy 🤍

Lucy has been part of the CMT family before as an Allied Health Assistant, and we absolutely love having her back supporting our team and our beautiful families. With a Bachelor of Education from Griffith University and 8 years of experience as both an Early Childhood and Primary School Teacher across the Gold Coast, Lucy brings such a warm, knowledgeable, and nurturing presence to our clinic.

She is incredibly passionate about supporting children’s growth in the early years, with a special interest in school readiness and development. We’re especially excited for Lucy to be leading our School Readiness Groups and workshops this year — she is going to be amazing! ✨

Outside of CMT, Lucy loves Pilates, beach days, trying new restaurants, and travelling whenever she can 🌊☀️

We feel so lucky to have Lucy as part of our team and can’t wait for you and your family to meet her 🤍

Mrs. Adriana had the pleasure of presenting to her two local libraries Burleigh Heads and Burleigh Waters for the yearly Speechie Library Talks with GClibraries and Speech Pathology Australia . It was a HUGE success!

Why was it so special?
Because learning happens best when we’re connected with our little ones! Mrs Adriana brought her warmth, passion and expertise, creating a welcoming space where parents felt confident, kids felt engaged, and everyone walked away with practical strategies they can start using today.

💬 From reading the Book of the Year Award Winner Cheeky Monster, to providing early language tips for babies, to key word sign and language ideas during everyday activities - the room was filled with lightbulb moments, giggles, and “I can do this!” energy.

🤍 A massive thank you to our wonderful families who joined us, and to GC Libraries once again for hosting such a meaningful community event.
Together, we’re building strong foundations for communication, connection and confidence.
