About the Role
As a support worker, you will play a vital role in assisting people to live independently, achieve their goals, and enjoy an improved quality of life. This position involves providing practical and emotional support, assisting with daily activities, and promoting positive wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
• Supporting clients with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Assisting clients to access community resources and activities
• Monitoring clients’ wellbeing and reporting any concerns
• Working collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals
About You
We are looking for individuals who are:
• Empathetic, patient, and reliable
• Excellent communicators with strong interpersonal skills
• Flexible and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Committed to supporting people from diverse backgrounds
• Willing to undertake relevant training and checks
Requirements
• Current first Aid Certificate
• Police check
• Current Drivers Licence
• NDIS Workers Orientation Module
• NDIS working with children check
• NDIS worker screening check

Her journey began in medicine, where she studied and worked as a doctor in Colombia for 1 year. Since moving here, she has spent the last 2 years working as a support worker, while also studying child care.

**FREE** COME & TRY DISABLED GOLF CLINIC (SEPTEMBER)

We would like to kindly request that you share the following information about our upcoming ‘FREE’ Gold Coast clinic for September 2025 on your Social Media platforms and your email database to help raise awareness of this event for individuals living with a disability in your region.

We are excited to invite the disabled community to attend our upcoming FREE September “Come & Try Golf Clinic”. No prior experience in Golf is needed – just come along and give it a try at:

Topgolf - First Tuesday of each month from 10am to 12pm, the next clinic is on Tuesday 2nd September 2025. Topgolf is an all weather venue so this clinic goes ahead even if raining.

This clinic is open to anyone living with a disability and is run by accredited specialised coaches who provide expert advice and guidance.

The incredible Paragolfer is available upon request. This all-terrain, revolutionary mobility device allows individuals to move into a standing position, replicating the full golfing experience. It is used by individuals with paraplegia, quadriplegia, spinal injuries, cerebral palsy, and more, as seen on the TODAY Show and 7 Sunrise.

🚨 Big changes coming to the NDIS 🚨

The Federal Government has announced that children with mild to moderate autism or developmental delays will gradually transition out of the NDIS into a new program called Thriving Kids.

👉 Thriving Kids will focus on community, school, and health-based supports rather than individual NDIS packages.
👉 Rollout starts July 2026, with full transition expected by 2027.
👉 $2 billion has been committed to support the change.

The government says this will make the NDIS sustainable and ensure it’s focused on people with significant, permanent disabilities.
