So which FRIENDS star has openly spoken out about having Dyslexia to The Hollywood Reporter?

“I had to read a paragraph, and they gave me a quiz, gave me 10 questions based on what I’d just read, and I think I got three right,”

“Then they put a computer on my eyes, showing where my eyes went when I read. My eyes would jump four words and go back two words, and I also had a little bit of a lazy eye, like a crossed eye, which they always have to correct in photos.”

“I thought I wasn’t smart. I just couldn’t retain anything. Now I had this great discovery. I felt like all of my childhood traumas, tragedies, dramas were explained.”

The journey to understanding our neurodiversity can sometimes feel a bit daunting for some folks and that’s ok.

For parents of kids, teens (or any loved ones) here is a wonderful tip from Amelia to create a soft start to learning and identify any common ADHD traits.

Create a HAIRY book! 📕

👉🏽 Grab a set of narrow post it notes in all colours
👉🏽 Buy a copy of “This is ADHD” By Chanelle Moriah
👉🏽 Sit with or let your loved one thumb through the book
👉🏽 Pop a tab on each page with a trait they can relate to

A “Hairy” Book can help the individual learn about their ND traits in a meaningful and self driven way 🙌🏼

This may help with any questions or “a-ha” moments you or your loved one may have about the traits & experiences they may have.
