Did you know that the gut and the brain are connected ?

They now say that the 1st brain is in the gut and all our systems work from the health of our digestive system...?

So how do you know if you're having issues with your gut?

Some early symptoms are:
-mood swings
-frustration
-impatient
-lack of motivation
-1 or NO poops in the day
-constantly tired and foggy

Yoga has become an increasingly popular sport amongst people of all age groups including kids and toddlers.

Yoga can support their growth, development, mental stability, emotional health, and overall well-being.

It is super important for our growing children to be introduced into positive life coping tools and resources, that REALLY work and support them as they integrate into the outside world away from your care. Like creche, kindergarten, primary school, and high school.

Teaching resiliency, compassion, self-love and mindfulness are some key benefits that create a positive environment within and without.

A parent’s worst nightmare is finding out their child is being bullied and pushed around at school, and no matter how well the school tries to manage these situations, it still happens whether we see it, hear about or not.

Most of the time we don’t hear about it.

BULLYING happens.

When I was in high school one of my classmate’s little sister committed su***de.

She had been bullied by students in her grade. It was just horrifying!

This is something I would NEVER EVER wish upon any parent to have to go through. From any situation if it be the parent of the child who was bullied or the one bullying.

Who would have thought teasing could affect a child to a point of wanting to take their own life!

NEWS FLASH people it does!!!!

This is sadly not the only story of su***de in our younger age groups and every year the statistic increase

This is a huge reason as to why I shifted into wanting to teach kids as well as adults yoga and other forms of movement therapies.

Kids and teens are finding it more and more difficult to speak out and tell their families or teachers what is going on emotionally.

Putting on a happy face, yet behind the surface lives enormous amounts of emotions bottled up inside, just ready to explode.

This is not what I want to teach my son when he goes through hard challenging times in his life.

I want to teach him how to express himself, how to feel, knowing that emotions are a part of being human and are meant to be experienced.

I want him to Learn how to regulate and cope with them or other peoples ,if it be positive or negative.

Our kids are little human beings, they have feelings and emotions.
Without the tools, how do they cope?

They don’t cope!

I want to feel confident that my child can cope and wish the safest environment especially when away from my care, although I know I cannot control other people and their lifestyle choices.

So, I ask this question…

What can we control?

- We can only control ourselves and what we choose to surround ourselves and family with.

-We can guide ourselves and family in a direction that is positive and can support them.

-We can choose the tools and recourses that support real life situations.

Yoga has been the BEST recourse I have come across that has supported me through many of my challenging life experiences such as:
- stress, overwhelm, trouble sleeping, digestive issues, eating disorders, injuries, loss, grief, abuse, and depression.

Gifting me a greater awareness about myself and others. Whilst feeling happier and healthier inside and out.

I wish I was introduced to Integrated Yoga earlier than discovering it in my adult life.

Integrated Yoga acts as my movement therapist.

Inspiring me to birth a new formula called Integrated Movement Therapy. (I.M.T) for supporting the whole body, mind and awareness using a series of movements and therapy exercise together in the one class.

Rather than trying to fix the adult problem we can try preventing them before it becomes one by providing our kids with mindful, movement and meditation practises during their early development.

This is just .wtf.... seriously.

Our kids are the most important beings in our life.

This story reminded me of my high experiences Where my friends little sister went through the same thing from being bullied by the popular girls in her grade and hung herself with her extension cord in her room.

What can we do to support our kids in schools today?

How can we ensure that even if we can't put a stop to bully's, how can we help our kids cope with it?

This story is absolutely heart breaking and inspires me even more to focus my attention on supporting our children with the right tools and recourses to support their health and wellbeing.

BULLYING IS NOT OK.

PUT A STOP TO BULLYING

Let me introduce you to Drayke Hardman.
He was 12 years old.
This week, he hung himself with his favorite hoodie from his bunk bed.
His bunk bed.
“Children are resilient”
No.
They are people.
They have huge feelings and minimal coping skills, because THEY ARE BABIES.
It’s our job to change the narrative.
OUR JOB.
It starts with us, as parents.
It stops with us, as parents.
His story is below.
Let it break your heart.
Let it change you.
Let it change all of us.
We have to do better.
Please, stop right now and talk to your kids.

“Drayke Andrew Hardman was born to his loving parents Samie and Andrew Hardman on May 26th 2009. Drayke was incredibly loved by his family, he loved sports and had such a kind spirit. Drayke just wanted to be friends with everyone. Drayke had the biggest, bluest eyes. Sadly, Drayke had been experiencing bullying at school. His bully would pick on Drayke for every little thing, but despite this, Drayke desperately tried to be his bully’s friend. His school and parents were aware, and his bully had been previously suspended for bullying Drayke. On Monday, Drayke had come home with a black eye, he confided in his sister that his bully had hurt him. Two days later, on February 9th, 2022 Drayke’s older sister found him hanging with his favourite hoodie from his bunk bed. Drayke’s father immediately started CPR until paramedics took over, after 15 minutes, his heart started beating but the damage had already been done. On February 10th, 2022 Drayke passed away surrounded by his family, he was 12 years old. After his death, his family have started raising awareness for su***de and bullying. Drayke will forever be remembered as a loving boy with a kind heart. RIP Drayke (26th May 2009 – 10th February 2022)”

Sometimes I can't help it.

Don't ask me what's wrong?

Stop trying to fix me !

How many of you have been told your moods and emotions are unstable and irrational?

Yep! My hands up!🖐

How many of you are tired of being judged your going through PMS, because you winds of emotions are releasing hurricanes left, right, in, out, up, down, around and around.

Right!!!🖐

I am so tired of trying to explain myself to my partner, family, friends and even to myself.

Perhaps you are experiencing severe menstrual cramping pains, irregular cycles, water retention and swelling?

Days leading into my cycle I get a clouded inflation of frustration, confusion, sadness and happiness all at the same time, boiling up a pot of 'I don't know what the f@ '

Iv experienced shame & embarrassment from my sexual and physical abuse.

I get it 😔

I was controlled by my 10 year eating disorder.
trying to fit into the size 6 jeans and be that model in Cleo magazine!
Stuffing my emotions down with sugar and carbs and than vomiting it up 😳

I get it 😔

I've been pregnant
I went through a c section surgery

I've lost feeling of my pelvic floor

I've been through post natal depression

I get it 😔

Sometimes I burst and explode like an erupting volcano, word vomiting my confusing emotions to my closest loved ones. 😫😭😤🥱😒😁
