For instance, if an individual has always taken pride in preparing the family meal on a Sunday, being able to regain that ability can bring immense joy and a sense of accomplishment. To facilitate this, it is essential to identify the specific challenges they face. It could be difficulties with standing for extended periods, lack of upper limb control, issues with balance, or pacing themselves to prevent exhaustion.

Once the barriers are identified we can help support people by finding out what's stopping them and finding solutions that work for them. For example, if standing for long periods is an issue, utilizing a high chair or stool could allow the individual to sit while preparing ingredients or cooking.
