ModnPods’ Rikki-Lee Rimmington has done what few ever do — returned to her sport after more than a decade away and helped Australia win the Indoor Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka! 🏆

Her love for cricket began when she was just eight years old — watching her brother play and thinking, “I can do that too.” By 1998, she was representing Queensland and eventually Australia, before taking a 14-year break to travel, raise a family, and live life off the court.

But after everything life threw her way, she decided to pick up the bat again — and hasn’t looked back. From there, she worked her way through club, state, and national levels — earning her spot back in the Australian team this year. 🤩

Her drive and teamwork shine through every part of her life — including her role here at ModnPods. “I’m very competitive. Even at work, if I do a task, I time myself and try to beat it next time. I also like winning UNO when playing with my kids; get better guys!” 🤭

We couldn’t be prouder of Rikki-Lee — a true champion on and off the field; she brings that same energy to ModnPods! 🥇🥳

Designed, engineered, and manufactured at our Gold Coast facility, this project demonstrates how innovation, precision, and architectural intent come together to deliver scalable, high-quality outcomes.

From concept to completion, the ModnWay represents the future of modular housing — adaptable, efficient, and ready to meet the growing demand for smarter, faster, and better-built solutions across Australia.

Last week we had the privilege of hosting Angelo Lambrinos – QBCC CEO & Commissioner and Skye Bowie – Chief Building Regulator to our ModnPods HQ!

Our Founder and our COO Andrew Reid had a productive discussion with Angelo and Skye about QLD regulations and the important steps Queensland is taking to ensure modular manufacturing is recognised as a mainstream building method—a critical shift given the current and foreseeable housing crisis.

At ModnPods, we believe Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) are essential to delivering faster, smarter, and more efficient housing solutions. It is exciting to see regulators and industry leaders working together to create versatile and clever lasting solutions, allowing modular manufacturing to become the new normal in construction.

With world-class teaching, strong industry ties, and career-ready graduates, it’s easy to see why we love our partnership with Bond. Not to mention, our very own founder is a proud Bond alumnus. 👏
