GEM's academic subcommittee collaborated with Kalana this month to develop learning objectives focused on weight stigma and health outcomes, aiming to enhance the medical curriculum for better patient care. Currently, weight stigma is covered passively in FOM1's Integration unit; explicit learning objectives will ensure this crucial content is assessed and studied thoroughly.

Thank you to everyone who attended our August 2025 events!

Research 101 was a hit! We had engaging speakers teach us all about how to get into research and what to expect. It was inspiring to hear about the different paths into research and learn about the careers of our speakers. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this event happen including our collaborators and .

Gender and Clinical Care was a highly praised event for its nuanced perspectives and important clinical information. We hope all who attended take something away from this event that will help them as clinicians. Please note that the recording of this event will not be made public - you’ll just have to come along next time!
