Congratulations to Matisse who has been with us at CPO for a full year today!

Matisse graduated from with her degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics in 2023 and has been a wonderful addition to our close knit team.

From her first week of getting over her traumas of answering the phone, Matisse has grown her skills and experiences over the last year to have her own client list and is a regular clinician at the Gold Coast University Hospital Amputee clinic.

We are so excited to see how she continues to progress in her career 😊👍

Keeping up to date with the latest technology! Today we had a visit from Virtetic where we had a intro to their virtual reality headset aimed at gamifying prosthetic rehabilitation. It was great to have join us for the demo and learn together about the benefits this emerging technology can offer those living with limb loss and phantom limb.

We make all our sockets in house on the sunny Gold Coast 🌞 and are always on the lookout for new materials and technologies to reduce waste, stay sustainable and limit our environmental impact.

If we love anything more than making legs, it's seeing you guys out there putting them to good use.
We knew this one was destined to lift heavy weights so we added extra carbon fibre reinforcment to make sure that it can keep up with whatever throws at it!

With the temperatures dropping, we’re turning our attention to the upcoming ski season. Jono and his family love their winter vacations to the slopes however it’s been a while since he’s been out on the runs himself.

To keep up with the kids, we’re trialling a selection of modern components and socket designs both in our Gold Coast facility AND on the rolling dry ski slope

Nicole and Eliza have been exercising their green thumbs this week with some beautiful bromeliads, sensational succulents and a majestic monstera deliciosa. Keep an eye out for updates for when our plant friends will be taking up a permanent home in our clinic.

And so ends another AmpCamp with everyone safely back on flights back to their home towns.

We had originally thought about sponsoring Zoe (LaTrobe graduate) and Bek(Sunshine Coast Uni graduate) for the 2020 AmpCamp but that pesky pandemic delayed those plans.

Thankfully they were both still keen for this year and were a fantastic addition to the Leadership team.

AmpCamp is a 3-day is an adventure for Australian teens living with limb loss and limb difference run by the fantastic AmputeesNSW.

A massive thank you to the organisers, the volunteers and most especially the campers for making the great energy and experience.

And just like that, we have walls... Well the beginnings of some at least.

This new space will house our lamination and carbon fiber lab.

Two big windows to let plenty of light in and LOTS of storage to keep the work space uncluttered, clean and a pleasure to work in.

Looking forward to getting the plasterboard up and making the new place ours!

Good bye 2020. Hello 2021!

And what better way to start the new year than with an expansion upstairs.

It's been 2 years since we started ripping up floors and building our clinical space and in that time we've grown quickly to fill every cm of available space.

Luckily the tenancy directly above us was vacant. I feel some renovations are in order!
