The nervous system has two main states. An accelerator, often called fight or flight, that helps us respond to danger, prepare for a busy week, or push through a workout. And a brake that allows the body to slow down, rest, and recover.

We are meant to move between these states naturally. But with fast paced, always on lifestyles, our ability to truly rest and recover can become depleted.

When this happens, the body may stay in a heightened stress state for longer than intended, leading to more persistent feelings of stress.

2016 | Where it began…

2016 was a formative year. After returning to Australia, I was refining my approach to chiropractic care and shaping a vision for what a future practice could be.

At that time, Evolve existed only as an idea. A commitment to patient centred care, continuous learning, and a belief that chiropractic could be delivered with greater intention and impact. It was a year of growth, experience, and quietly building the foundations that would later become Evolve.

Looking back from today, 2016 marks the starting point of how both my practice and my philosophy as a chiropractor have continued to Evolve.

The Insight Scanner is a gentle, non invasive technology that helps us understand how your nervous system is functioning and how your body is adapting to everyday stress.

After Christmas and into January and February, we often see families getting sick again and again, not because their immune system is failing or because there are suddenly more germs around, but because the nervous system is overwhelmed.

Late nights, extra sugar, travel and changes in routine can push the body into overdrive, making it harder to fully reset.

When we calm and rebalance the nervous system, the immune system can finally reset too and begin working the way it is designed to.

This is why we place such a strong focus on nervous system health, especially during busy seasons for families.

Many of you have been asking about our holiday hours, so here they are.

23 December: Open
24 to 28 December: Closed
29 December: Open 3 to 6.30 pm
30 December: Open 8 to 11.30 am
31 December (Wednesday): Open 8 to 11.30 am
1 January: Closed

We’ll be back to our normal hours from 2 January.

We won’t be monitoring our phones or email on the days we are closed, but if our regular clients email us, this will be picked up at the first opportunity.
