If you keep feeling misunderstood, it’s not because you’re “too much”, it’s because your feelings haven’t been translated yet.

If you want to feel truly understood and accepted, it starts with understanding yourself first 🤍
That means learning to identify what you’re feeling — and communicating it honestly, without blame.

When you feel hurt, misunderstood, unappreciated, or unloved, it can feel like someone else caused it. And sometimes their actions do play a role. But our emotions are also shaped by how we see the world — the meanings, expectations, and beliefs we learned from past experiences.

This doesn’t mean the other person intended to hurt you.

A gentle practice:
• Write down what happened
• Name how it made you feel (even the physical sensations)
• Acknowledge what you need or want

Do this without making it about fault.

When you’re ready, try sharing it with the other person — speaking from your experience, not an accusation. Expressing how you feel is an act of self-respect and truth.

When emotions stay bottled up, they can quietly turn into disconnection, loneliness, or even depression.
But when you give your feelings a voice, you create space for understanding, healing, and deeper connection. 💛

Changing your self talk to positive can make a big difference in how you feel, however you have to stick with it as you’re going against existing habits and it takes at least 90 days before it becomes automatic.

There’s no better gift you can give yourself, than to be true to who you are. To be true to who you are, you can’t bottle it up and you can’t absorb everyone’s expectations, without losing yourself.
