I have something to share. It’s my birthday tomorrow and I’m turning 32! 🥳
As I reflect on the last 31 years of my life, I wanted to share 32 lessons that I have learnt. ❤️
1. Your worth doesn’t come from anyone or anything else other than yourself.
2. You need to have faith in a higher being because without some sort of faith you will easily be manipulated by fear.
3. Less is more.
4. Run your own race and stop comparing.
5. Being a Mother is the greatest gift but also the hardest thing you will ever do.
6. Never stop being your authentic self because there will always be something who has something to say.
7. There is no quick fix to overall health.
8. Honour your energy and who and what you give it to because it’s precious.
9. Don’t let somebody else’s story/s become yours.
10. It’s the daily actions and beliefs that are the game changers.
11. Being a Mum doesn’t mean I have to sacrifice all the things that make me, me. I can be Mum and Tegan as well.
12. No one is coming to save you, only you can save yourself.
13. It takes a lot of courage to break free of the “traditional” mould and be a black sheep.
14. You set the tone for what you will and won’t accept.
15. There is a lot of wisdom to be to be taken from the older generations - be mindful not to let history repeat itself.
16. Find comfort is the discomfort. This is where the magic happens.
17. People won’t remember what you said or how you looked but will remember how you made them feel.
18. Health is your greatest asset - mentally and physically.
19. Some people think they have a right to have a opinion on your life, even how you birth your child.
20. I will never be someone who could live in the city.
21. Your intuition never lies. Listen and tap into it regularly.
22. I will never sleep a full night when I’m in close proximity to a jail.
23. The “norm” is here to keep you small.
24. I will never be a breeder.
25. The biggest barriers are the ones we place on ourselves.
26. F*ck working 52 weeks a year to have 4 weeks off and waiting until you retire at 60 to finally live. Live now because no one is guaranteed tomorrow.
