Total Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse in Virgo- Can You Be Compassionate While Being Discerning?, Flow vs. Critical Thinking, Healing Through Discipline
On March 3rd, we have the massive Total Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse at 12 degrees of Virgo. Lunar Eclipses are full moons on steroids and herald BIG and LIFE CHANGING endings, culminations and manifestations. Virgo, the 6th zodiac sign, deals with order, grounded perception, discernment, service and health/wellbeing.
Get ready as this BABY is coming in with a lot of energy!! With the ruler of this Eclipse ( Mercury) currently in retrograde motion in the opposite sign ( Pisces) we could feel all over the place with little to no footing to secure ourselves. There is a pull to stay centered and to use our critical thinking skills but staying focused will prove challenging. Just when we get a plan and are ready to get down to business, a snafu of sorts comes in to wreck it all to hell. The key is to flow but with awareness and non attachment. Not an easy feat with Virgo energy. Staying grounded will take extra effort and at least Virgo likes to put in the work cause you will need it at this time.
The Total Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse in Virgo is here to offer us a solace of good ol fashioned hard work and grounded presence. We currently have the Sun, Mercury, Venus, soon to be Mars and the North Node all in the opposing sign of Pisces. It is extra swirly out there atm lol! This Lunar Eclipse wants to remind you of the commonality between the opposing Sun in Pisces and Moon in Virgo which is service and compassion. Now Pisces energy is all about service through surrender and Virgo energy is all about service through discernment. Health matters of all kinds will come up now. Check in on your nervous system and pay especially close attention to your mind. Wondering fears and worries could be very rampant now. Breathe, allow and meditate. Go slow. Don't force. Nothing is gained in haste.
With the South Node, the point on the moon's axis that deals with letting go, surrender and the past who is also in Virgo meeting up with this Lunar Eclipse signals a part of ourselves that has to finally end a chapter. The chapter that will end will depend on where Virgo lies in your natal chart but for many these endings will be connected to being overly critical, hyper intellectual and within a state of constant stress. Let's practice with the intention of letting go of these concerns.
For those folks with their Sun, Moon or Ascendant signs on or close to 12 degrees of Virgo or the other mutable signs of Gemini, Sagittarius or Pisces will be most impacted by this Total Lunar Eclipse. Expect the unexpected as that is the very nature of eclipses themselves. Someone or something could be "eclipsed" out of your life just for someone or something new to be "eclipsed" right in. The areas of the physical body, home/family, relationships and career will be where these massive shifts will occur. Expect this to happen over the next 6-12 months. The Total Blood Moon Eclipse in Virgo is asking us to remain vigilant and grounded despite what our emotional states might be feeling. Virgo isn’t devoid of emotion. In fact it's quite a deep feeling sign. The key with Virgo energy and this eclipse is the awareness of where our energy goes and directing it to the most useful and productive parts of our lives. The Lunar Eclipse wants us to release what has held us back and it could just be our overly critical thinking and cautious sense of self. For the next 2 weeks practice doing the same one thing everyday. It could be very simple ( and pls keep it simple as that is very Virgo) like stretching for 3 min every day you wake up or journaling 5 min. Whatever it is, it's not about the "thing" you are doing but rather the act of sticking to something and keeping your word to yourself. That is the basis of integrity which is the heart of everything Virgo. The Total Blood Moon in Virgo is here to usher in endings connected to our mental suffering, ways to incorporate more grounding practices into our lives and the release of being our own worst critic.
