We are looking for qualified female Support Workers.
Location: Mount Compass| Goolwa
Smoker: No
Pet: 1x dog at the property; the dog is placed outside during care time until SW is comfortable. Friendly, well trained dog.
Service type: Personal care, companionship, taking to appointments & domestic duties if there's time. Passive Nights.
Shifts:
24/7 Support Goolwa 2x Participants seperate houses 1:1
AM and PM personal care Mount Compass (negotiable)
More hours, flexibility for the right candidate once rapport & trust has been established.
About you:
-Successfully completed a minimum Certificate III in Individual Support in Aged Care/Disability or working towards completing one.
-English as a first language, or completion of formal education in Australia/not a very heavy accent (due to hard of hearing).
-Engage in meaningful conversations, incorporating humour and cultural references familiar to the Australian elderly community.
-Assist with daily activities as required, respecting the participant's/family members preferences.
-Able to follow PBS/Registered Nurse/Mental Health Clinical care plan.
-Communicate effectively with the participant's family, providing updates and addressing any concerns to stakeholders and Management
-Up-to-date NDIS workers clearance, manual handling, first aid and CPR certificate, hand hygiene, Worker Orientation Module: Quality, safety and you, NDIS Worker Orientation Module, Supporting Effective Communication, Support Safe and Enjoyable Meals, New Worker NDIS Induction Module (https://training.ndiscommission.gov.au)
