🗨️ "The part I enjoyed the most was the socialising that went along with the exercise"

Today is World Mental Health Day, and this year’s theme is ‘Connect with your Community’. EngAGE Community is all about just that – social connection is at the heart of what we do!

Our online exercise program for older adults provides opportunities to connect with others, share life experiences and learn about healthy ageing, all while working towards exercise goals under the guidance of an Accredited Exercise Physiologist.

If you know an older adult living on the Central Coast or in the Hunter region who:
🔹 wants to top-up their social connections
🔹 is keen to be active and learn about healthy ageing
🔹 would enjoy the intergenerational connection with our student practitioners
👉 refer them here - https://www.theengagecommunity.com

Interested in partnering to bring EngAGE Community to your region? We'd love to hear from you.

🏋🚶‍♀️‍➡️Bringing Movement, Fun and Connection to Aged Care Communities 🧎 🤾‍♀️

We are proud to collaborate with aged care providers and independent living facilities to deliver the EngAGE RACF program – a purpose-built initiative for older adults that brings weekly exercise physiology services focused on safe, fun and socially engaging movement.

Over the course of 8 weeks, residents work closely with Accredited Exercise Physiologists and enthusiastic exercise physiology student practitioners from the School of Biomedical Science and Pharmacy (The University of Newcastle, Australia) to co-create tailored exercise plans that suit their individual needs.

What makes it special?
· Led by Accredited Exercise Physiologists
· Supported by enthusiastic student practitioners
· Customised for all abilities and mobility levels
· Designed to improve mobility, strength and balance.

Thanks to the support of the Hunter New England Central Coast Primary Health Network EngAGE RACF continues to grow in reach and impact – delivering meaningful outcomes and fostering vibrant connections across our older adult communities.
