When your nervous system is use to being stressed, your body holds subtle tension on autopilot, especially in the shoulders and neck.

It’s a protective pattern, not something you’re doing wrong.

🤔 Your vagus nerve is what helps signal safety to the body, allowing muscles to soften and release.

But if your system is still on alert, the tension returns without you even noticing.

This is why just “trying to relax” doesn’t work long term.

Three signs your nervous system is overloaded…

1️⃣. You’re exhausted… but can’t fully relax
2️⃣. Your mind won’t switch off, even when nothing’s wrong
3️⃣. Small things feel overwhelming or irritating

This isn’t you being dramatic or “bad at coping.”

It’s your nervous system staying switched on for too long.
