I'm preparing this video to show a group of Yr 10 girls I work with and I love it so much I wanted to share. Its such a simple, helpful resource and the kids really get it (and enjoy watching it too).

Eating disorders can be complex and incredibly hard to treat. If you or someone you know are looking for help with overcoming an eating disorder, make sure you find a trained professional.

Have you seen the website for the the Australian Centre for Eating Disorders? There is helpful information on eating disorders and you can also find a practitioner trained with ACFED who can help you. If you are on the Central Coast NSW you can check out my bio here: https://www.acfed.com.au/users/nycole-reid if not there are other practitioners Australia wide on the website.

Finding someone that you can not only trust and feel ok with, but who is also qualified and knows how to treat eating disorders is so important.

Have you ever wondered, what exactly do counsellors do??? It really depends on the needs of the client and what they are going through. Here is my current flyer with a brief explanation of the services I offer and some of the training I have completed. One woman a week dies from an act of domestic violence.

I am proud to be a White Ribbon Ambassador and speak out about domestic violence on the Central Coast. White Ribbon is Australia’s only national, male led campaign to end men’s violence against women.

Tom B (a local school student) approached me and voiced his concerns about domestic violence and demonstrated a commitment to make a difference. Tom B recognised that as a school student he had the opportunity to influence his peers and make a real difference to the future of the Central Coast.

Tom B developed this campaign to spread the message to all men that we are in control of our behaviour and that we can stop domestic violence.

Tom B and his friends had the courage to let the world know where they stand on domestic violence.

In Part 3 of Tom B's campaign local local community group's speak out that domestic violence is a crime and that domestic violence impacts everyone in our community.

The Board of Directors and Management of the Gosford RSL were quick to support this campaign. Gosford RSL is a strong supporter of the local community and the Max Potential Program of which Tom B is a participant.

Our message is clear - there is no excuse for abuse.

You can put a stop to violence against women - don't be afraid to stand up.
