💆‍♀️ Meet Lucy - our wonderful new Remedial Massage Therapist!
We’re so excited to have her join the Gosnells Physiotherapy team! 💙

Originally from Taiwan, Lucy has been living in Australia for six years and brings warmth, care, and experience to every treatment she gives.
Outside the clinic, she’s an animal lover who adopted a Kelpie while working on a sheep farm 🐕 and even brought her cat all the way from Taiwan to Perth 🐈. On her days off, you’ll often find her exploring new hiking trails around Perth.

Lucy speaks Mandarin, Hokkien, and English, and we’re thrilled to have her as part of our team!

🦴 Today is World Osteoporosis Day!
Osteoporosis is often called the “silent disease” — most people don’t know they have it until they break a bone after a small fall or bump.
Strong bones start with simple, everyday habits 💪

Here’s how you can look after your bone health:
✅ Move your bones – weight-bearing and strength exercises (like walking, squats, or step-ups) help keep bones strong.
✅ Know your risk – take the free IOF risk check: https://riskcheck.osteoporosis.foundation
✅ Eat for your bones – include calcium-rich foods and get enough vitamin D from sunlight or supplements.
✅ Avoid bone-damaging habits – smoking, excessive alcohol, and low body weight can all increase your risk.
❗️Physiotherapists play a key role in exercise and fall prevention — if you’ve had a fracture or want to stay strong and steady, we can help you get started safely.

💐 Farewell, Alana!
Today we said goodbye to our wonderful front desk team member, Alana, as she moves on to a new role that allows her to work from home.

Alana has been such a warm and friendly presence in our clinic — always greeting patients with a smile and making everyone feel welcome. We’ll truly miss her energy and kindness (and yes, there were a few tears at lunch today!).

Thank you for everything you’ve brought to our team, Alana — we wish you all the very best in your next chapter 💛

🌿Looking for a gentle, scenic stroll?

The Gosnells River Walk along the Canning River in Pioneer Park is easy, shaded, and ideal for gentle rehab walks. Our clinic manager Ainslee highly recommends it — the wildflowers are gorgeous! 🌸
Walking is a fantastic way to support your back, knees, and overall recovery without overloading your joints.

Thanks for all the reactions! 🙏 ICE was the winner ❄️
But did you know both heat and ice have different roles in recovery?

👉 ICE is best in the first 24–48 hours after a new injury (like a sprained ankle) to reduce swelling.
👉 HEAT works better for stiff or tight muscles (like a sore back after gardening) to improve blood flow and relax tissue.

⚠️ Not sure which one to use? Starting with ice is usually safest — and your physio can help guide you further.

✅ Save this post for the next time you’re not sure what to reach for!
