📝 What is Family Therapy?
Your first session is with the therapist without the children present. From there, the therapist will guide future sessions to:
• Understand each family member’s perspective
• Acknowledge everyone’s needs
• Foster connection, collaboration, and repair through understanding

"Welcome to the Child and Parent Centre – Gosnells — a vibrant, happy hub for families with children 0–8 years. We offer parenting workshops, child and maternal health services, playgroups, early learning programs, counselling and family support. Our services are tailored to families in Gosnells and Huntingdale, and the Centre is managed by Centrecare in partnership with Gosnells Primary School.

Our goal is to help families make the most of the early years. We run a range of playgroups for children up to 4 years, including Little Wrigglers (0–12 months), Toddler Time (1–2 years), and a Universal Playgroup (0–4 years).

Our Little Learners transition-to-kindy playgroup is offered to families attending our host or associated schools the following year. We also support pre-kindy opportunities at Ashburton Drive, Wirrabirra and Huntingdale Primary Schools.
A targeted playgroup is also facilitated by the Autism Association of WA — please contact us for details.

We offer a variety of parenting programs such as Triple P, Circle of Security, First Aid, Toilet Training, Food Sensations and Protective Behaviours.

Our team — Audrey, Kat, Leanne and Lisa, along with Child Health Nurses Nav, Kristin and Chris, and our Speech Pathologist Jackie — welcome all families from the local community.

Child Health provides a drop-in baby weighing session every Wednesday, 11am–12pm (no booking needed) and an immunisation clinic every second Wednesday. For bookings or Child Health appointments, please call 1300 749 869.

We’re committed to creating a safe, happy learning environment and supporting families through every stage. We look forward to seeing you at the Centre for a catch-up and a cuppa.
