How to sign ‘we love you’ 🫶🏼

Meet Bounty. He’s deaf, he’s utterly fabulous and he’s on the lookout for his forever fam. He’s not had the easiest of rides in life thus far and after finding himself on death row with hours to spare, SABBR came to the rescue.

Not quite 2yrs old yet, Bounty should be a picture of health. But unfortunately, humans failed him. Bounty has bad skin due to untreated flea damage which will require every second day bathing (just to start with) and vet treatment. One eye is ulcerated and receiving treatment (twice daily drops) and lastly, he’s deaf. But don’t think being deaf is holding Bounty back, that couldn’t be further from the truth! It just makes life that little extra rewarding.

Obsessed with his humans, he has been great with children 5yrs+ and even though he’s not putting his best paw forward, he loves other dogs. Male or female, he could happily live with another dog. Sweet as pie, he adores being loved and loving you right back.. he’s not bad at learning commands either, lures and teaching your own doggy sign language will be all he needs. We would prefer someone home more often than not at this stage, but PT workers could be a-ok!

Bounty will be in foster whilst we nurse him back to tip top condition! We cover all his vet expenses and can’t wait to see his ‘glow up’. Applications who foster with the view to adopt will take preference, he’s done enough moving to last him a lifetime!! ❤️

RUN DON’T WALK! This giant gorgeous pupper won’t last long!

Holly
3 mo - female
Boerboal

* Holly is gorgeous!
* She is a typical playful puppy who will need someone dedicated to her ongoing training and socialisation
* She would love to go to a home with a male doggy friend!
* She has no idea how big she is and get ready as she is only going to get bigger! She could get up to 75kgs which is why socialisation and training is critical for this big girl!

If you think Holly is just the bees knees, apply to DFL now!

Our sweet senior giant Moose is watching out of the window, patiently for his forever family!

Moose is a 9 year old Akita Inu with a very sweet temperament. He is looking for a lovely retirement home where he can be spoilt rotten and stay cool in the summer heat! Moose is partially deaf and also has impaired vision. He has some muscle wastage on his back legs and will need to take it easy for the remainder of his days. He is a very sweet boy who loves a cuddle. As is typical of his breed, he is also a happy and independent boy and we think he would cope well moving in with full time workers if he's given some time to settle in to his new surroundings.

Moose did well on his dog tests here at the Home but given his age and weakness in his back legs and future doggie friends will need to be a suitable match- it's likely a dog of a similar age and breed would be best if he is to go home with a friend.

Moose could cope well with older, dog savvy kids that are used to being around big doggos and are respectful of his space as he enters his twilight years!

Moose is one of 65 dogs currently in kennel here at the Refuge waiting for their forever home. Please consider adopting if you are in a position to do so- we are at breaking point!
