Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting men, but with early detection, the outlook is often very positive. He and his family recently took a day trip to Yeppoon to soak up the sunshine, breathe in that fresh sea air, and enjoy the breathtaking coastal views.

Great news for the Central Queensland community! 🏥 I-MED Radiology at Rockhampton Mater Hospital is launching the region's first PET/CT service.

This is a huge step forward for local cancer care. Patients will no longer need to travel out of the area for these essential scans, which are used to help doctors with diagnosing, staging, and monitoring cancer treatment. 🎗️

I-MED Radiology is now accepting referrals for appointments for eligible patients, with scans beginning mid-September this year. This is a fantastic advancement that will make a real difference for our patients and their families. ❤️

Dr. Vahid has been busy enjoying some of the incredible things our region has to offer.
He and his family recently made the drive up to the Mount Archer lookout ⛰️, and were treated to an awesome view of Rockhampton below. It's a fantastic reminder of the beautiful sights right on our doorstep!

Strong bones are crucial for an active life🏃‍♂️. Osteopenia is low bone density, while osteoporosis is severe bone weakening, leading to fragile bones and dangerous fractures, especially in the hip and spine. Those at higher risk include women, older adults, those with a family history, certain medical conditions, and lifestyle factors like low calcium/vitamin D, smoking, or excessive alcohol.
