Meet Mandy and Kelly, our new Family Case Workers supporting the Clarence Valley community.

Their role is all about walking alongside families - building on existing strengths, sharing knowledge, and providing support that empowers families to thrive. Best of all, this service is completely free.

For Mandy, who is from Bundjalung Country, this role is especially meaningful. It’s an opportunity to come home and work alongside her mob, strengthening connections and supporting her community.

Kelly brings over 20 years of experience supporting families and is excited to be part of the Clarence Valley community. She’s looking forward to building strong relationships and working alongside families to help them grow, connect and flourish.

We’re thrilled to have Mandy and Kelly as part of Team Livable.

Team Livable proudly took part in the World’s Greatest Shave, supporting the incredible work of the Leukaemia Foundation to raise vital funds and awareness for those impacted by blood cancer.

From bold shaves to fresh cuts and vibrant colours, our team showed up with creativity and a whole lot of heart. Every snip, shave and splash of colour was a powerful reminder of the difference we can make when we come together for a cause that really matters.

We are so proud of our team for getting behind this initiative and raising $1,356 to support individuals and families facing blood cancer. ♥

At Livable, we are committed to listening, learning, and supporting stronger, more connected communities. Creating opportunities for all to flourish means walking alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples with respect, understanding, and a shared commitment to a positive future.

This year’s theme, Community Voices: The Pathway to Justice, Equality and Healing, reinforces the importance of community-led approaches in achieving genuine and lasting change.

Still part of the Livable family, Sam joins us from Jacaranda Preschool. With 17 years of experience in early childhood education, Sam brings a wealth of knowledge and a genuine passion for supporting young children and their families.

Sam is excited to step into the role of Playgroup Coordinator, working with children aged 0–5 years and helping create a warm, welcoming space where families can connect, children can learn through play, and everyone feels supported.

Livable would like to congratulate another Jacaranda Preschool Educator, Reenie, on being named a finalist for Rising Star of the Year at the Women of the Clarence Awards 🎉

Reenie is a vibrant force in our community and proudly serves as the 2025 Jacaranda Festival Queen - a prestigious title she earned through dedication, commitment and outstanding fundraising efforts.

This recognition reflects her contributions and community involvement over the past year, particularly throughout her Jacaranda Festival journey. During this time, Reenie led fundraising initiatives, supported local causes and proudly represented young people and our town with confidence and compassion.

Her experience has allowed her to connect with so many members of our community, step outside her comfort zone and give back to the place that has given her so much.
Reenie represents the very best of the Clarence Valley - humble, determined and full of “can-do” spirit.

We wish Reenie and all the nominees every success at the awards on Friday 6 March 💛

Congratulations to one of our Jacaranda Preschool Educators, Danni, for being named a finalist for Changemaker of the Year at the Women of the Clarence Awards 🎉

The Changemaker Award recognises a woman who sees a need in her community and takes action to create meaningful change — and Danni does exactly that.

A valued member of the Clarence Valley community, Danni’s dedication to local tradition and service runs deep. From her early days as a Jacaranda Princess to serving as Matron of Honour for the Grafton Jacaranda Festival, she has mentored and inspired the next generation with honesty and unwavering commitment. She firmly believes the future of our region lies in its young people — and she invests in them wholeheartedly, both in and outside the classroom.

Danni is also a passionate advocate for community health and resilience, supporting initiatives such as Relay For Life and raising awareness for bowel cancer. Whether she’s contributing to the Grafton Show or quietly stepping up for neighbours in need, Danni leads with courage, strength and compassion.

Her deep community roots, combined with her drive to make a positive difference, are creating a legacy that strengthens the entire Clarence Valley.

We wish Danni and all the nominees every success at the awards on 6 March 💜
