Get to know Mitch below with some fun facts!
✨Why did you become an Exercise Physiologist?
I became an exercise physiologist because I’ve always loved sports and exercise, so becoming an EP was my excuse to talk about it all day and actually get paid for it! Plus, I really like the idea of being able to help people live healthier lives.
✨What’s your favourite type of exercise or activity?
Personally, my favourite type of exercise is athletics (track and field) followed closely by soccer.
✨What’s one surprising thing people don’t know about exercise physiology?
Something a lot of people don’t realise is that exercise physiologists work with a very large variety of clients including sport performance, people living with a disability, musculoskeletal injury, mental health conditions, neurological conditions and chronic disease.
✨What’s your favourite way to relax after a busy day?
I really enjoy getting home and playing outside with the kids.
✨If you weren’t an Exercise Physiologist, what job would you do?
If I weren’t an exercise physiologist, I’d be a biomedical scientist – still helping people, just from the lab and not from the gym.
✨What’s your favourite thing to do on the weekend?
Something outdoors with the kids like going to the beach, fishing or playing sport.
