What does a complete life mean to you?
“I find a complete life means having a good social circle, and being able to do things without doubt or worry. To me, it also means that I am known for my kindness”.

What is your favourite thing about living in the Clarence Valley?
“It’s the sort of place where you are more than likely to see the same people in your routine. My favourite is when I can remember someone and they remember me and we can chat”.

What do you like to do in your down time?
“Usually reading or letting my mind wonder in whatever movie I decide to watch”.

What do you love about being part of the Caringa Community?
“I love being a part of a community that remembers my name and achieving my goals is a really good thing for me. I am a friendly person in a very friendly space”.

🌟 Col has been a dedicated member of our Caringa Employment Team for an incredible 44 years! 🌟

If you’ve visited our Orara Street site, chances are you’ve seen Col hard at work.

We recently interviewed Col to hear about his journey and experiences over the years — and this is what he had to say.

What does a complete life mean to you?
“Being able to balance a work and home life. I wasn’t good at this in my youngers years but I’m slowly working it out”.

What is your favourite thing about living in the Clarence Valley?
“I think it’s the climate. The mild winters are good for me”.

What do you like to do in your down time?
“My wife and I are foster carers and we have two young ladies in our house. Down time is a premium. I love watching sport live or on the t.v, kayo is my friend, I do enjoy a punt on the GGs when I get a chance”.

What excites you about contributing to the Caringa community?
“In my time at Caringa,44 years, I have developed a sense of ownership – of my role and Caringa as a whole – I get excited seeing so many people working towards an end goal, hopefully the same one. I also enjoy sharing my years of experience with others so when I do retire the story can continue.
