Adventure Camp 2025 🏕️

That’s a wrap on camps this year and we certainly ended on a high note!

The rain certainly didn’t stop us from having fun 🌧️

We played indoor games 🃏, learned essential nature survival skills 🔥, went for swims 🏊, took part in team building activities 🤝, checked out the nature centre 🌳, and of course who can forget BEST’s Got Talent 🤩

Last but not least, ❤️ Team Red took home the trophy with the most points!

WORK EXPERIENCE OPPORTUNITIES 👋

BEST Disability Support specialises in teaching life and work skills to young people aged 16-30 with intellectual disabilities.

We are searching for local businesses who are passionate about providing valuable opportunities to their local community to offer a wide range of work experience options to our Members.

Some of the work our Members have done previously include:
🍲 Food prep at Meals on Wheels
🛞 Car washing at Motorama
🌲 Grounds maintenance at Springwood Community Gardens

We are now in search of additional local businesses to partner with as our demand for support grows. In particular, we are most interested in working with business who can provide learning for the following skills: light cleaning, stocking, off-computer admin tasks such as filing or shredding, food prep, or warehousing.

Have something else in mind? Reach out! We’re always happy to have a chat.

Essential:
🚗 Must be within a 30-minute drive of either of our Greenbank or Slacks Creek campuses
⏰ Available for either 10.15-12pm OR 1pm-2pm time slots
🧑‍🏫 Willingness to take some time to teach our Members the tricks of the trade!
