In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Five Elements each correspond to a season, a rhythm, a movement of Qi through nature and through us.

Fire belongs to Summer, the season of fullness, radiance and outward expression. It is expansion, joy, connection and visibility.

Late Summer belongs to the Earth element and our energies have transitioned into this element of transformation.

Earth is the axis.
The centre point around which all the other elements move.

It is a time of.
Stability and integration
Returning to our centre
Grounding any intensity
Digesting our experiences

Some of you may already be feeling the energetic pull to ground more. We shift from the outward expansiveness of Summer into a gentler inward focus toward our internal Earth yin.

The emotion of Earth is worry — or overthinking. Worry circles and loops. It moves round and round like the Earth itself. It is mental energy that has become excessive and unraveled from the body.

The spirit of the Earth element is the Yi — the Intellect. Yi governs thought, concentration and discernment. It gives our mind focus and clarity.
It keeps the Shen, the spirit of Fire, steady, focused and directed.

As we move into a year of heightened Fire energy, particularly in the Year of the Horse, intensity can rise quickly. The nervous system can feel the quickened pace as momentum builds and change can become accelerated.

To support this transition, I’ve been working with a Year of the Fire Horse blend from Perfect Potion.

To harness the strength and movement of Fire without being consumed by it. To remain balanced and centred while still moving forward with clarity.

To allow me the grace to know when to ‘gallop’ and when to gently pull back from racing my own self-focused path.

I’ve been applying the blend to my Luo points, supporting balance within the meridians of both Fire and Earth.

Luo points help harmonise the coupled meridians, smoothing excess and strengthening deficiency.
They are beautiful gateways for integration, especially during seasonal transitions.

Through my journey into deep grief and harnessing its teachings and the wisdom it carried, I have been transformed in the most soul nourishing ways.

Yet there was something within my body that I could feel but I couldn’t name.

Until recently when my clinical therapist said to me, ‘you have grieved your Mum but you have not healed from the trauma of being her carer’.

For anyone that has been an at home carer for a dying parent or a loved one you know what I am talking about.

And we do not talk about it enough.

The exhaustion.
The hyper vigilance.
The quiet erosion of self.

The confusion of feeling relief when they pass and then the tremendous, debilitating tsunami of guilt that floods the body for feeling that way.

Relief and devastation.
Love and resentment.
Devotion and depletion.

All living in the same nervous system.

To be a carer for the dying is to live between worlds.
You become a gatekeeper.
A midwife to death.
You sleep lightly and rest heavily. 
You hold vigil, space and hope.

When we surrender to all that we feel, all that we try to avoid, and all that pains us this is where the transformation happens.
This is the nature of healing and finding meaning.

I don’t visit where my Mum is laid to rest often but occasionally I feel her call so I go.

My soul path has always been entwined with life and death. It is in my astrological chart, in my soul plan, as well as in my human design.

Phoenix medicine. 

She told me it was time to release her maiden name - Hawker.
It is time to stand on your own, in my own power.

Huh!
‘I thought I was already doing that, I am strong, I have risen’

And In my Mum’s strong and loving voice..
‘Own who you truly are.
See yourself through the eyes of those that love you the most
Find your voice.
Claim your name and forge your own path.

Not as the devoted daughter.
Not as the dutiful and sacrificial carer.
But as the woman you are.
As a lineage breaker.
As a healed ancestor in the making.

I could not be more proud of these three exceptional 
PKP Kinesiology Practitioners.

They have just received their Diploma of Energy Psychology - Subconscious, Soul and Spiritual issues in a Clinical Practice.

This certification means they have successfully completed 200 hours of classroom study, 200 hours of home study, practical and clinical tuition.

This is in addition to their Level 1 - Certificate of Kinesiology.

They have met all standards both practical and theoretical in international examinations: written, oral and practical of the PKP protocols.

This is a progressive journey from mastery of emotional stress release, attitudes, roles, cycles of life, limiting personal, family & societal beliefs, rules, prejudices and misperceptions, to dealing with compulsive behaviours, obsessions, fears, pain behaviours and co dependency.

This means they are PKP Kinesiology practitioners of excellence.

Graduate Profile: Natalie Arena

Nat is another OG at the school and is currently studying the Level 3 - Diploma of Learning, Metaphysical, Holographic & Vibrational Energies which will finish in 4 months.

Nat has successfully completed Level 1 - Certificate of Kinesiology and Level 2 - Diploma of Energy Psychology and she travels one weekend a month from Geelong to North Balwyn to attend classes whilst also working full time.

She has never missed a class since she began. She is dedicated not only to learning PKP Kinesiology but to being the best practitioner she can be.

She’s cheeky, has a laugh that’s contagious, grounded and holds space for others that’s safe and contained.

I have so much admiration for her willingness to not only be a volunteer for classroom demonstrations but for the level of vulnerability she touches on and expresses which is a gift for us all in the class.

The red door that stands as a threshold.

To cross it is to leave the ordinary world behind for 2 days a month, like stepping through the wardrobe into Narnia, where the unseen becomes visible and the soul remembers.

lives in North Balwyn, in a beautiful private house that has been ritually transformed into a sacred healing sanctuary.

This house is energetically pristine, held with deep care and devotion, its energy is immaculate.

Altars and offerings honour the spirits of the land, the ancestors, the guardians of the house, and all who are called to enter.

This is a space of reverence, love and connection.

Vicky is an OG of the school.

Joining at the very beginning in 2023 this is Vicky’s third year of PKP Kinesiology training.

Vicky shows up to every class with truth, honesty and transparency. She brings to the class her kind, caring, loving and compassionate mother energy, her truth telling and sense of humour.

Also know as ‘Macgyver’ as she can always be relied on by her fellow students to be there for them when needed.

I can’t imagine class without her.

She is an exceptional Kinesiology practitioner who I am so incredibly proud of for all that she has achieved, over come and continues to work through.

I have always believed that Kinesiology is a modality that chooses you.

It comes into your life to learn it when the student is ready.

It begins as a whisper, an idea, a thread of possibility.

The whisper becomes louder, insistent, an almost nagging feeling that won’t leave you alone.

A calling.

Learning Kinesiology can mean a change in career pathways, it can be an extension to an already existing modality/trainings that you already have or it can be to help support yourself, family and friends.

You don’t need to know, you just need to trust.

Not only did I learn about the intelligence of the physical body, I learnt about the emotional body, the energy body and the pain body.

I became a valued part of a group of like minded souls, a tribe that I had been longing for.

I began to really look at my own wounds, beliefs, sabotages and addictions.

I started to take accountability for my life and my choices.

I learnt how to heal myself which then began the healing process of those closest to me.
As I begun working on healing my own energy frequency, the influence it had on my family was inspiring.

My recent trip to Port Douglas was a little different this time.

This visit rather than spending my mornings walking on the beautiful Four Mile beach and connecting with the water (I’m a Pisces and a Water Rat in TCM) I felt the strong call from the land.

Exploring and revisiting this beautiful feminine landscape, the tablelands, the mountains, the rainforest.

The journey was inward. A remembrance.
A subtle and quiet whispering that asked me to listen.
Pay attention, I have something to tell you.

A celebration of 40 years of friendship with the one person who knows how to help me make sense of my inner world with a simple sentence, a laugh, a presence.

We visited the hospital where I became a Mum 20 years ago this year.
A midwifery hospital where she was present to hold and witness Phoenix entering the world.
Where the Phoenix energy within me was born.

A papaya farm.
A cacao farm.
Exploring, honouring, listening, remembering.
Reverence for the land that held me as I birthed my daughter.
Feeling immense gratitude for the 25 years that this land has held me.

Returning again and again, old versions left behind.
A rebirthing that takes place each time.
The Phoenix rising once again.

This land has said yes.

As 2026 unfolds, we are standing at the clean completion of a long energetic cycle and the quiet opening of a new one.

The Phoenix and the Fire Horse are not opposing forces — they are the guardians of this threshold. One closes the circle with precision; the other prepares the first steps of what comes next. This moment may feel reflective and anticipatory at the same time, as if the old year is fully exhaling while the new chapter waits to be embodied.

The Phoenix governs the ending of the previous cycle — not through drama, but through resolution. It dissolves identities, emotional patterns, and inner narratives that were shaped for a chapter that has now run its course. This is the energy of completion that leaves no loose threads.

Many are feeling a sense of emotional neutrality, fatigue, or quiet detachment, not because something is missing, but because the old sources of meaning and momentum have finished their work.

The Fire Horse enters soon in February as the forward-facing current of the new cycle, but it does not rush the transition. Its energy is present as readiness rather than action, instinct rather than ex*****on. You may sense emerging clarity about direction without the impulse to move yet.

This is the Fire Horse respecting timing - waiting for the Phoenix to finish sealing the past so the future can be entered cleanly, without dragging old patterns forward.

What allows these two energies to work in sync is their shared respect for order. The Phoenix completes the year-circle internally, clearing emotional residue and unfinished psychological loops. The Fire Horse gathers beneath the surface, organizing will, courage, and direction for what follows. Together, they ensure that the next chapter begins from inner energetic coherence rather than reaction.

This is why many are noticing fewer emotional entanglements but a stronger sense of internal authority. The need to prove, fix, or rush fades. In its place arises a quiet readiness - the feeling of having arrived at the end and being allowed to begin again differently. The Fire Horse does not need to push when the Phoenix has already cleared the path.

Today is our final class for the year and what a weekend it has been with another pot luck xmas lunch celebration.

I am in awe of this class of first year students who are inspiringly brave and courageous as we are sometimes organically and naturally led into having spontaneous, unflitered, open and vulnerable discussions, baring our souls in regards to our individual paths of healing.

The books and teachings are put to the side as we sit together holding space for each other listening to stories, experiences, disappointments and pain.
I bow with love and gratitude to you all.

I want to take this moment to thank each and every student that has over the last 3 years walked through the red door of the school and chose me to be their teacher.

The honour and privilege to guide, teach, support and mentor another soul is never lost on me. It is sacred work and I will never underestimate the impact a teacher, and a fellow student, can have on the path to healing and reconciliation.

The next Level 1 Foundations in Kinesiology begins 11th & 12th April 2026.

🐎 🔥

✨ There comes a moment where the soul simply refuses to carry one more ounce of old weight.

2025 has been that moment for many of us. Heavy lessons. Strange pauses. That “in-between” feeling where nothing is quite ending, but nothing is quite beginning either. A year of spiritual friction, emotional clutter, and inner truths trying to surface.

And then the message starts to appear from everywhere:
Shed. Let go. Release. Make space.

🌿 Shedding is not gentle.
It is uncomfortable.
It is raw.
It is the phase where the old identity loosens and the new one has not formed yet.
A spiritual moulting.
A soul finally admitting what can’t come any further.

In many traditions, shedding is the precursor to a shift in destiny. The space between cycles. The thinning of old stories and the dissolving of the armour that once kept everything together.

And this time, the timing matters.
2026 is the Year of the Horse in the Chinese zodiac.

🐎 Historically, a Horse year is:
• a breaker of stagnation
• a mover of truth
• a catalyst for courage
• a year where intuition sharpens
• a year where buried feelings rise
• a year of doors opening in quick, bold ways

Horse years pull life forward. They untangle knots. They refuse to entertain anything that drains spirit or slows momentum. They are known for clarity after long periods of confusion.

To step into that energy, the shedding becomes essential.
You cannot carry the emotional debris of 2025 into a cycle built for movement.
A new year asks for a new skin.

🔥 Shedding becomes:

Releasing resentment.
Letting guilt dissolve.
Retiring survival habits that no longer match your season.
Allowing old versions of the self to fall away without ceremony.

🌙 The shedding is the doorway.
