We are thrilled to recognise Ben Watty, our Facility Manager, who has been named the winner of the Ramsay Cares Sustainability Award in the 2025 National Ramsay Way Awards.

Ben has helped shift sustainability at Greenslopes from aspiration to action. He has led major energy efficiency improvements across the campus and championed a bold 1,350KW rooftop solar proposal that would bring renewable power into the heart of hospital operations. His leadership reflects a long-term commitment to reducing emissions, modernising infrastructure and strengthening the way our hospital serves its community.

We also congratulate Amit Chauhan and Jodie Mallia from Joondalup Health Campus, this year’s runners up.

This recognition speaks to the scale and impact of Ben’s work. Well done, Ben. We are proud to celebrate this achievement with you.

We’re proud to congratulate Dr Toni Gabrielle Hains FACN, who was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for her pioneering work as a Perioperative Nurse Practitioner and Surgical Assistant.

Toni has been with Greenslopes Private Hospital since 2016 and is known for her expertise, compassion and leadership in the operating theatre. She co-founded the Australian Association of Nurse Surgical Assistants and has a national research award named in her honour – a reflection of the impact she’s had on perioperative nursing practice across Australia.
