💉 Flu Protection for Little Ones 🧡

Did you know children aged 2 to under 5 years can now access a needle-free flu vaccine.

This nasal spray vaccine (FluMist®) is:
✨ Quick and easy
✨ Needle-free (given as a spray in each nostril)
✨ Designed especially for young children
📍 NSW is rolling out this funded program to help protect our little ones and reduce the spread of influenza in the community.

Important to know:
• Suitable for children aged 2 to under 5 years old
• Given as one spray in each nostril

Flu can be serious for young children — vaccination is a simple way to help keep them safe this season 🤧➡️💪

Safe Haven provides free, walk-in mental health support for people feeling distressed or having thoughts of su***de. No referral needed. You can just show up.

We are pleased to introduce a new GP to our practice. Dr Cynthia Anyasi will be joining our team strengthening our clinical team and expanding the care we offer.

A small introduction from Dr Anyasi.

“I recently moved to Griffith from Sydney, and I’m really excited to be here. I graduated in Nigeria over a decade ago and spent time gaining valuable clinical experience before moving to Sydney, where I completed a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Public Health. After finishing my studies I worked as a GP in Windsor before making the move to Griffith.”

“I absolutely loved the warm welcome from both the practice and the wider community. I’m really looking forward to serving the community and working alongside the incredible team at Your Health Griffith.
Outside of work I enjoy trying new food, meeting new people and reading.”

Dr Cynthia will be practicing 5 days a week Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
Dr Cynthia also speaks Igbo supporting communication with our Nigerian Igbo speaking patients.

☀️ Hot Weather Reminder ☀️

With the incoming hot weather conditions this week we’d like to remind our community about the importance of staying well hydrated especially during weather extremes.

Older adults and babies are particularly vulnerable to dehydration and heat-related illness so please take extra care to offer fluids regularly and keep cool where possible.

💧 We’re here to help. Our practice has Cold Water, Zooper Doopers and Hydralyte available for any patients who feel they may need some extra hydration while visiting us.

We also encourage everyone to check on your neighbours particularly those who may be elderly, unwell or living alone during this hot weather.

If you or your loved ones need anything at all, please don’t hesitate to ask our friendly admin team.
