Back 2 School done right πŸŽ’βœ¨
Our Mini Health Passport Day supported Aboriginal youth aged 12 to 17 to start the school year feeling healthy, confident, and supported.

Young people moved through mini health check stations including blood pressure, eye checks, height and weight, smoking and va**ng info, IRIS screening for mental health and alcohol, plus free school kits and a lucky door prize 🧑

A big thank you to everyone involved in making the day run smoothly including Griffith Aboriginal Medical Service Drug and Alcohol Team, Free, Fresh & Fit Tackling Indigenous Smoking Team, our student doctors, and Griffith AMS Health Check Officers.

On Thursday night we proudly celebrated our young people at the Youth Black Excellence Awards 2026 πŸ–€βœ¨

A deadly, youth led night that also marked two years since the official launch of Griffith AMS Youth Services. Two years of connection, growth and creating safe spaces where our young people are seen, supported and celebrated.

The night recognised Aboriginal young people aged 12 to 24 across Griffith AMS, Murrin Bridge AHS and Hay AMS Youth Services.
Twenty nominees across seven award categories, with some young people recognised across multiple categories. Every single nominee should be incredibly proud.

Excellence is not always on paper. It is showing up, growing and backing yourself.
