For Harmony Day, headspace Griffith attended Murrumbidgee Regional High School at both Griffith High and Wade High campuses. Our team were honoured to support the school communities who showcased an incredible embrace of culture and diversity; from traditional dances, live music performances to delicious foods from all over the world - Harmony Day had it all!
Thank you to both schools for welcoming us into what was a beautiful celebration of respect, culture and harmony. 🧡

Trauma can feel like carrying a weight no one else can see. Some days it’s loud. Other days it’s quiet. And sometimes, we don’t even realise how much we’re holding until it starts to weigh us down.

This animation explores what trauma can feel like, how it can show up in our bodies and minds, and the many different paths healing can take. Healing doesn’t mean forgetting or “getting over it”. It’s about understanding what you’re carrying, finding support, and learning to move forward at your own pace.

If this brought anything up for you, support is available.

HYPE Event to Empower Young People Through Connection and Support

Young people across the Griffith region will come together this Thursday, 26 March, for an exciting and meaningful community event designed to inspire connection, build awareness, and support wellbeing.

HYPE – Helping Young People Evolve, will be held at the Griffith Community Centre on Olympic Street from 10:00am to 2:00pm, bringing together students, and local services in a vibrant, inclusive environment focused on education, engagement, and mental health awareness.

The event has been developed by the headspace Griffith Consortium as a collaborative initiative to strengthen community bonds and highlight the wide range of support services available to young people and the community.

HYPE aims to create a safe and welcoming space where young people can have fun, connect with peers and services, and learn more about how to seek help for themselves or others. Attendees will enjoy interactive activities from many local and regional services, while also receiving a resource bag with important help-seeking information.
