🎗️🌸💗 Celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Month at GMC 💗🌸🎗️

Throughout October, our team at Griffith Medical Centre will proudly be wearing pink to show our unwavering support for breast cancer awareness. We will again be raising funds for the local organisation - Griffith Breast Cancer Support Group, which provides vital assistance to local women and men navigating their breast cancer journeys.

We invite all our patients and community members to join us in supporting this important cause and contributing to initiatives that truly make a difference during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Together, we stand in solidarity with those affected by breast cancer and encourage everyone to prioritise their health through regular screenings and self-exams. Remember, early detection saves lives! 💪

🌍 Today is World Su***de Prevention Day - a reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness and compassion can save lives. In support of this important day, we proudly wore orange at Griffith Medical Centre to show our solidarity.

🧡Changing the Narrative on Su***de🧡
On 10th September, communities and organisations worldwide come together to mark World Su***de Prevention Day, reflecting on our shared goal of preventing su***de and spreading hope. This year, Griffith Medical Centre is proud to support this important initiative by wearing orange.

Led by the International Association for Su***de Prevention (IASP) and the World Health Organisation, the theme ‘Changing the Narrative on Su***de’ encourages us to shift from silence and stigma to openness, empathy, and action. Together, we can ensure those who are struggling feel heard and supported.

In Australia, su***de is the leading cause of death among people aged 15–44, with over 3,000 lives lost each year and more than 55,000 attempts. Behind every statistic is a story.
