Holiday Goals: Discovering the Best Walking Tracks

When on holiday, one of my top priorities is exploring the beautiful walking tracks available. There’s something magical about starting the day with a morning walk—the sun shining, a fresh sea breeze, and great company (as long as there’s no complaining!). It’s the perfect way to energise and truly enjoy that ice cream later in the day.

Is this on your holiday hit list?
• Absolutely! Holiday walks are a must! 👍
• Absolutely NOT! Holidays are for sleeping in and relaxing! 👎

Heading out for the Christmas and New Year holidays but don’t want to divert too much from your healthy eating plan? Here’s four, easy to stick to tips:

1. Get Organised: Prepare some homemade meals such as granola to take along. It’s a nutritious breakfast that’s easy to pack, eat in your accommodation before going out and saves you money.

2. Plan Your Meals: Choose two healthier options (eg, breakfast and dinner) to enjoy during the festivities, and allow yourself a little indulgence on the third meal (lunch is a good option as you have time to go for a walk and burn off some energy from a larger, more calorie packed meal as opposed to having this meal at night time when you are going to bed on a full stomach).

3. Mind Your Snacks: Be aware of hidden calories in snacks—these can add up quickly!

4. Stay hydrated, drink 2-3 litres of water daily to help flush out excess toxins from alcohol and rich foods your body isn’t used to consuming.

With a bit of planning, you can savor the season without compromising your health goals or the simple joy of being on holidays and embracing the moment. Happy holidays!

What an amazing year. When I look back, CIFH has grown in ways that make me pause and feel incredibly proud. And I couldn’t have done it without these two wonderful humans beside me.

October marked 12 months of Boogie Bounce. A whole year. There were moments I thought my body might tap out—juggling 16 classes a week (Group PT + Boogie Bounce) on top of clinic consults. But my body and mind kept carrying me, and I’m so grateful.

After advertising for an instructor, along came Candace. She needed a mentor for her Cert III, and something in me knew to take a punt. I trained her to take my early morning Boogie Bounce classes… and what a brilliant gamble that was. Candace, you are a go-getter, a sponge, eager to learn and so willing to 'be taught'. I’m so happy you’re part of the team.

We also stepped into the tech world with a new app for our exercise clients. We’re still smoothing out the little teething issues (thanks to Candy’s patience!), but we’re thrilled to offer clients more control over their classes. Candy—thank you doesn’t feel big enough. You’re like my right arm. The way you organise, support and give your whole heart… I’m beyond grateful.

The past couple of months have seen Candy build a steady list of 1:1 PT clients—rehab, prehab, strength before surgery, weight loss under physio and surgeon guidance. She is gentle, effective, and watching her thrive is a joy.

I’m also excited to introduce a Body Scanner and new comprehensive testing in 2026. These tools will help us identify and correct nutritional and body imbalances, improving outcomes and giving clients more clarity.

To my amazing clients—you are the reason I do what I do. You keep me learning, pushing, seeking answers. Helping you feel better in body and mind fills me up in a way I can’t fully explain.

Our last day of classes is 19 December, and I’ll finish up on Tuesday the 16th. Wishing you a beautiful Christmas with your loved ones. Rest, laugh, eat well, breathe deeply.

I can’t wait for more health journeys, memories & magic in 2026.

Love,
Cass

My test kit has finally arrived… and honestly, it still blows me away how much insight you can get from a simple blood and urine sample.

This isn’t just a quick once-over. It’s a deeply comprehensive report that pulls back the curtain on your nutritional and metabolic health. We’re talking everything from metabolic and thyroid markers, right through to cardiovascular health and hormone balance.

It also dives into the nitty-gritty that so many people are missing—your mineral and metal status, essential fatty acids, amino acids, organic acids… and a stack more. All the little pieces that quietly influence how energised, stable, clear, and well your body feels day to day.

And that’s why I love this panel so much. Because it’s not just for people with symptoms they can’t make sense of. It’s also for anyone who wants to understand their body more deeply and finally get clear on what it "really" needs.

Data-backed. Personalised. Practical.

I’ll be performing this test soon, so keep an eye out. I’ll take you through the process and what I discover along the way.

I’ve seen it over and over again — movement does things for your mind that most people never get told about. You won’t often hear it in a doctor’s office, but honestly, a simple walk can shift your whole day more than nearly anything else. There’s no profit in discipline or consistency, so it rarely gets the spotlight… but it should.

Because when you move, your whole system responds. Your brain lights up with the chemicals that help you feel motivated and steady. Stress hormones settle down. Your mood evens out. Inflammation cools. And bit by bit, you start building this inner strength that reaches far beyond the physical. It’s not just feeling stronger — it’s "becoming" stronger.

And I think we forget sometimes that our bodies aren’t things to battle with. They’re built to help us heal. Even the simplest movement can activate shifts that no pill could ever copy.

Whenever I pick up a weight, head out for a walk, or just pause to breathe properly, the noise in my mind softens. My nervous system gets the message that everything’s okay. I come back into myself again.

It’s not about chasing perfection — it’s about reconnecting. Your body was never the problem. It’s always been part of the answer.

You don’t need another “quick fix.” What really works is movement that supports you from the inside out.

Move your body.
Nourish your mind.
Eat in a way that repairs.
Train to feel good — not to punish yourself.

That’s how you find your way back to balance… one small, deliberate choice at a time.
