I have been helping people with Natural Health for more than 10 years, and my desire to learn and understand more about our incredible bodies and how they heal stirred a passion within me to become a qualified Naturopath. I opened my Clinic Hinterland Naturopathy in Guanaba 4 years ago and haven't looked back, seeing many clients with an array of ailments and chronic conditions including Food Intolerances, adrenal fatigue and hormonal imbalances. I have a particular interest in Children's health to ensure their growing bodies are getting all the nutrients required as well as helping those that struggle with learning challenges and behavioural issues. I’m in Luteal “ahhhhh!” Not sure if this relates to anyone, but seems to be frequently presenting its self so giving it the post it deserves 🫣

I’m not going to re-type the slides but just know that your not going nuts it’s your hormones and your body doing its thing but there is so much we can do to ease the PMS which for some can be debilitating 😔

Well who else has found it a little hard to get cranking in January 2025 🙋‍♀️ or am I the only one?
I have been home since mid Dec and am so happy to be living back on the coast and being able to be back in my clinic in Guanaba full time 💚
I guess everyone is back in the swing of routine, school runs, after school activities, work etc and it’s now already February 🫣
I am open for consultations in clinic and online Monday- Saturday 9-12pm with some afternoon and evening times also available ✅ just DM me to arrange when suits! As I am busy trying to update my scheduler!

Can’t believe our first born turned 18 today 🥹 honestly in the blink of an eye and yes this Mumma shed a tear watching him open gifts and read his cards 🥲

I see a lot of this in clients like this in clinic, completely burnt out, your adrenal glands sit above your kidneys and when stress occurs they will pump out the “stress” hormone cortisol 😱
Signs of Adrenal Fatigue could be:
Tired 😴 after waking up from what you thought was a good nights sleep
Hard to get going of a morning
Cravings of usually salty foods though can also be sugar
Weight changes- either loss or gain
Finding those usually easy to do tasks too challenging
Brain 🧠 Fog
Weaken Immune Function
Mood swings- often anxiety and depression

So many of my clients do struggle with this 💚
Taking a herbal can definitely be challenging, most have a strong bitter taste that can make it hard to swallow. You have to trust the process with herbs 🌿 they will go to work and do your body a lot of good. Sometimes I do add a dash of licorice, ginger or cinnamon to improve it but who am I kidding it’s still not the best 🫣

Here’s some tips that might help:
Keep it in fridge- seems to be slightly better when cold
Make it like a quick shot- helps as it won’t hit the tongue taste buds as much (down the hatch)
Follow with a rice cracker and a sip of water
You can mix it with a small amount of juice- though I tend to think the less is best

You also need to remember to actually take them ✅
Unfortunately your not going to feel better unless you are taking them regularly
Set an alarm or having with breakfast and lunch usually works best

I don’t prescribe herbals for everyone as they do take compliance though I always keep them up my sleeve when needed 💚
