🤓 A message To the Gunnedah Community from Dr Gittoes (Northwest Family Medical)🤓
After 10 years of operating our medical practice as Northwest Family Medical in Gunnedah, I am pleased to officially report that as of Monday 29th September 2025 we are under the new ownership and new management of North West Health Tamworth.
The team in our Gunnedah Practice (including myself) will remain the same however when you phone to arrange an appointment your call will go to the North West Health call centre in Tamworth and this will seem a little different so we ask for your patience and understanding with this small change.
I am proud to look back over the 10 years of Northwest Family Medical Gunnedah and report that over that time we have cared for thousands of patients and employed 21 clerical staff, two practice managers, 13 nursing staff, 1 aboriginal health worker, 3 locum doctors, 4 fellowed GPs and have been part of the training of the future generation of new doctors by training 13 GP registrars.
We look forward to continuing to provide a high standard of medical care to the Gunnedah and surrounding communities in our new guise as North West Health Gunnedah.
