To all my wonderful year 12 clients, and any other year 12 young people:

As you approach your HSC exams, I want to acknowledge the hard work, dedication, and resilience you've shown to get to this point. While these exams may feel all-encompassing right now, please remember that your worth extends far beyond any grade or result.

You are not defined by a mark on paper, but by the person you are becoming — thoughtful, capable, and full of potential. No matter the outcome, this is just one step in a much larger journey. I have every hope in your future and trust that whatever path unfolds, it will be one you can be proud of.

Take care of yourself, pace your energy, and believe in the strength you carry within.

Go well and good luck!

We need more conversations like this. Well done Bailey Smith.

"A year ago, I got out of a psych ward..." ❤️

Bailey Smith just delivered one of the most incredible and honest moments in recent footy TV history.

The Geelong superstar had just been honoured with his first All-Australian blazer, capping off a remarkable 12 months.

And, as Smith bravely admitted, it began with him admitting himself for medical help >> bit.ly/47dIFgk

Thinking of all my clients who are commencing their HSC exams tomorrow.

Some final words of wisdom:

🎓 No one has ever asked me my ATAR (UAI back in my day… so old) with exception of the day results were released. Since then, it’s a non-issue.

🎓 You are more than your academic grades.

🎓 No matter the result, you are loved and have a bright future.

🎓 You’ve done enough. You are enough.

🎓 Go to bed.

It’s 5 o’clock somewhere, right?

Funny how that saying is so deeply ingrained into the fabric of our collective rural psyche as a good enough reason to drink or to assume or even insist someone else should also drink.

Increasingly, rural people who’ve worked out they can’t moderate booze are opting out or cutting way back, so they can be safe and healthy and well. Which is wonderful news for so many families 🤠

The trickiest part, for many, remains the ongoing insistence and pressure from others to explain their choice.

So today, on behalf of those enjoying 5 o’clock “somewhere” without booze - please remember we still want to hang out, be included, and unwind.

We are simply choosing to do that without grog.

And we would very much love your support to do that without explanation 👌🏽

So remember to chuck a sparkling water or a non-alc beverage in your Ute or your eskies for your mate who needs to pass on the frothy - and above all else - please be a good mate, and get behind them and make sure they know it’s always 🤙🏽

Cheers to you wherever you are and whatever you’re drinking- and let’s keep putting the welfare of those we care about before the choice of drink in hand 👊🏼
