The latest ECU study found that:
✨ Both resistance training and HIIT trigger the release of myokines — special proteins that can help suppress cancer cell growth.
✨ After just 12 weeks, participants’ blood samples showed a 22–25% reduction in cancer cell growth in the lab.
✨ Strength training built muscle and strength 💪 while HIIT boosted fitness and reduced fat mass 🫀 — showing both are powerful tools for survivorship.

For many with EDS/HSD, the nervous system is deeply affected. Beyond joint pain and hypermobility, serious neurological issues can develop for some which are often misunderstood or misdiagnosed:
• Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) Leaks – causing positional headaches, brain fog, and neck pain.
• Chiari Malformations – a group of disorders where brain tissue herniates into the spinal canal (>5mm), leading to pressure, dizziness, and coordination issues.
• Craniocervical Instability (CCI) – unstable joints the the neck/spine can compress the brainstem, causing a range of debilitating symptoms this can include AAI and segmental spinal instabilities
• Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH) – increased pressure in the skull without a clear cause, leading to vision problems and chronic headaches
• Tethered Cord Syndrome – spinal cord tension can affect bladder, mobility, and cause leg weakness. most cases related to EDS are “occult”.
• Kyphosis – a combination of abnormal spinal curvature and rounding, can occur in certain types of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, leading to chronic pain, respiratory issues, and reduced mobility.
• Tarlov Cysts – fluid-filled sacs along nerve roots—can occur in individuals with EDS/HSD and may contribute to pain and nerve-related symptoms.
