Congratulations to Aravinth on completing all the requirements to obtain unlimited registration as a physiotherapist in Australia. Aravinth graduated from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka in 2011 with a Bachelor's degree in physiotherapy. He has been working with us in Gympie since July 2015. To achieve open registration, overseas trained physiotherapists must successfully complete a series of written and practical exams set by the Australian Physiotherapy Council and must work with Australian trained physiotherapists, until open registration is achieved.

Aravinth is the first Sri Lankan physiotherapist to receive open registration in Australia without having to undertake an additional Australian undergraduate or post graduate degree. We are very impressed with his achievement as it reflects Aravinth’s breadth of knowledge and commitment to evidence based medicine and continuing personal professional development.
