🧡 We Can’t Do This Without You - Be an Ally, Not a Bystander 🧡

Ending violence against all women isn’t just a women’s issue - it’s a community issue.
And we can’t do it without you.

Men have a powerful role to play.
✅ Listen without judgement
✅ Speak up when you hear disrespect
✅ Model healthy relationships
✅ Support survivors with compassion

You are important. Your actions matter.

Being an ally means choosing respect, every day - in your home, your workplace, your club, your street.

Today, tell a woman or gender diverse person why you care about their safety.
Make a difference in your world.
Let’s build a Gympie where all women and gender-diverse people feel safe, supported, and seen.

🧡 Ending Violence Starts Right Here - In Gympie 🧡

Big change starts in small places - in our homes, our schools, our streets.

Ending violence against all women isn’t just a global goal.
It’s a local one. And it starts with us.

In the Gympie region, we know that connection, compassion, and courage can change lives. Every time we speak up, support someone, or challenge harmful behaviour - we’re part of the solution.

Today, take a moment to reflect on what change looks like in your own world. And know that we’re here, every day, walking alongside all women and gender-diverse people.

🧡 Respect Starts Early - Let’s Teach It Every Day 🧡

Children learn about respect from what they see and hear, at home, at school, in the community.

When we model kindness, boundaries, and equality, we help raise a generation that knows violence is never okay.
Respectful relationships start early.

Let’s talk about feelings. Let’s name safe and unsafe behaviours. Let’s listen.

Today, share this message with someone raising or teaching children. Together, we can build a safer Gympie for all women and gender-diverse people.

🧡 Abuse Isn’t Always Loud - But It’s Always Harmful 🧡

Not all abuse leaves bruises.
Sometimes it’s silence, control, isolation, or fear.
💔 Emotional abuse
💸 Financial control
🚫 Coercion and threats
📱 Monitoring and manipulation

If something doesn’t feel safe, it probably isn’t.
Take a moment today to learn the signs - and share them with someone you trust.

Because recognising abuse is the first step toward ending it.
If you or someone you love needs support, we’re here.

At Gympie Women’s Health Centre, we walk alongside all women and gender-diverse people on their journey to recovery.

We offer trauma-informed counselling, connection, and care - without judgement, without pressure.

If you’re not ready to talk, that’s okay.

🧡 Let’s Bust the Myths - Violence Is Never the Victim’s Fault 🧡

One of the most harmful myths about violence is that it’s caused by what someone wears, says, or does.

Let’s be clear:
❌ Violence is never the victim’s fault.
❌ It’s not about anger, alcohol, or stress.
✅ It’s about power and control.

When we challenge these myths, we help build a safer, more compassionate Gympie - for all women and gender-diverse people.

Take a moment today to reflect.
Share the truth with someone you trust.
And if you need support, we’re here.

🧡 We UNiTE - Ending Violence Against All Women Starts Here 🧡

Today marks the start of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence - a global movement to end violence against all women and girls.

Here in the Gympie region, we know the impact of violence is real, but so is the power of community, healing, and change.

At Gympie Women’s Health Centre, we stand with all women, including trans women, First Nations women, women of colour, women with disability, and gender-diverse people, because safety is a right, not a privilege.

💛 If you or someone you know needs support, we’re here.
