As spring pastures take off, lush and legume-rich paddocks can increase the risk of bloat in cattle and sheep. This condition occurs when gas builds up in the rumen and can’t be released, which can quickly become life-threatening.

🔍 Signs to monitor: swollen left abdomen, signs of distress, rapid breathing, and a reluctance to move.

The good news is that several management strategies can help reduce the risk of bloat occurring. Learn more here: agsolutions.com.au/bloat-cattle-sheep

𝗥 𝗨 𝗢𝗞?
Life in regional and remote Australia comes with plenty of rewards, but it also has its challenges - fewer services, isolation, extreme weather events, and the pressure to “toughen up.”

That’s why it’s so important to check in on your mates. Trust your gut, start the conversation and ask, “Are you OK?” – because a simple chat can make a big difference 🤝

R U OK? have developed the Mateship Manual to support those living in rural areas, giving practical steps to help us look out for each other 👉 https://www.ruok.org.au/mateship-manual

This R U OK Day, and every day, let’s keep the conversations going.

𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗼𝗶𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝗽𝘀
Gordon Bebb has seen the benefits of NatraMin across a range of farming systems — from improving Lucerne yields and reviving salt-affected pastures at Delungra, to now producing cane and soybeans in the Broadwater Mill area.

✓ Healthier, longer ratoon crops
✓ Strong stooling in cane
✓ Noticeable improvements in soil structure
✓ Active worms and reduced tillage in heavy clay soils

"We are getting longer and healthier ratoon crops and are impressed with how well our cane is stooling out. The difference in our soil is noticeable. Worms are active, our soil is more friable and less tillage is required prior to planting. In our heavy clay country, sugarcane plough-out paddocks work up without clods.”

Gordon applies NatraMin every second year at 300kg/ha and says the difference in both crop performance and soil health is clear.

Real results, healthier soils, stronger crops.

Helping Australia Grow

Thank you for taking the time to visit our AgSolutions page. It means a lot to us to be able to share our vision of ‘Helping Australia Grow’. There may be many reasons why you are connecting with us; perhaps you are searching for information on how to improve your soil, or maybe you are looking at ways to increase yields in your crops, or possibly livestock or equine nutrition is of more interest to you. Regardless of why you are here, we want to do our very best to help you.

My name is Julie Williams and I am the CEO of AgSolutions Australia. To us, ‘Helping Australia Grow’ is much more than a tag line. Our team is truly passionate about helping soil, helping plants, helping livestock and helping people. We are dedicated to building partnerships with farmers, gardeners, Rural Stores, suppliers or industry groups, with the aim of solving problems and providing solutions that add value to the agricultural industry.

While we do manufacture both soil and livestock nutrition products, it is probably our services, information, events, networks and continual improvement (Kaizen) for which we are just as well known. Whether it be soil management programs, supplementation plans or feed ration formulations for livestock, we love assisting people to achieve their goals. We have a genuine desire to see others, particularly the rural sector, succeed and prosper.

AgSolutions Australia started because of a combination of this connection with and love of the land, as well as one couple’s search for ways to improve the health of one of their children. So, with a focus on improving soil health and everything that grows in it or grazes from it, coupled with a desire to help not only their own children, but people everywhere, my parents Trevor and Wendy Zerner started the company in 1989.
