It’s been a very busy year in the clinic, and to make sure I can recharge and make it through to Christmas, I’ll be taking next week off to rest and relax by the beach. ☀️🌊

As many of you already know, I’m currently 21 weeks pregnant — so it’s time for a little extra self-care for me and bubba! 💕

Dianne will still be available in the clinic to see our pregnant and postnatal clients while I’m away, and I’ll be back on Monday 4th November.

Are you having a Caesarean?
Preparing for your recovery can make a big difference in how you feel after birth.
Developing an early postnatal recovery plan helps you:
• Understand what to expect in the first days and weeks
• Support gentle healing of your abdominal and pelvic tissues
• Learn how to care for and manage your Caesarean scar as it heals
• Manage movement, rest, and activity safely
• Feel confident caring for yourself and your baby

Your pelvic health physiotherapist can guide you in creating a plan that supports scar healing, restores core and pelvic strength, and promotes a smoother, more comfortable recovery—so you can focus on healing and connecting with your little one.

✨Pelvic Pain in Women✨

Too often I’ve been seeing on social media women battling with pelvic pain. And it’s clear that there is a lack of information available to women in our Mandurah community.

So I decided it was time to take a slightly different approach to get the message out there…and as many of you know I absolutely hate being in front of a camera, but this was just way too important and way bigger than my own insecurities. WOMEN NEED TO KNOW HELP IS AVAILABLE!!!

Pelvic Health Physiotherapists play a vital role in management of pelvic pain, and work in collaboration with your wider health care team. Pelvic pain can be complex, so it’s important to ensure the Pelvic Health Physiotherapists you see has experience in managing pelvic pain.

I hope this video has been helpful to some of the women out there.
Be strong, be brave, ask for help! 💪

✨TENS IN LABOUR✨

Labour TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) is a safe, drug-free option for pain relief during labour.

TENS works by sending gentle electrical pulses through pads placed on your lower back, helping to reduce pain signals and release endorphins — your body’s natural pain relievers.

Many women find it helpful in early labour (first stage), giving them a sense of control and calm during contractions.

💗If you’d like to learn how to use TENS for labour, chat with your Pelvic Health Physiotherapist.
