Dear Families,
I’d like to touch base regarding current recommendations from NSW Health and the Australian Government in response to COVID-19.
Please be assured that Busy Bees OT continues to adhere to rigorous hand hygiene and cleaning procedures, as well as the use of individualised equipment during OT sessions wherever indicated. Frequency of cleaning in our common areas and bathrooms has increased and we request that all of our wonderful clients and their families make use of the hand sanitiser provided at reception when they arrive for appointments and prior to leaving our space. Soap is available in the bathroom if you would prefer to wash hands instead.
In line with current recommendations, please advise if your family has travelled internationally in the past 14 days and please ensure to comply with any government or health authority requirements to self-isolate.
Appointments will be staggered wherever possible to ensure minimal client crossover in waiting areas.
If your child is unwell, please contact via phone or email prior to your appointment to reschedule. No late cancellation fees will apply at this time.
If your child requires a home visit, please contact prior to your appointment to reschedule if any member of your household is unwell or undertaking self-isolation for any reason.
For clients with school visits booked, I will liaise with your school prior to each visit to ensure that all school visits are able to comply with current social distancing recommendations. If school closures occur or school visiting is suspended, I will contact to discuss alternative options.
I am currently expanding telehealth options to cater to more of my clients and am always available for telephone support and consultation with families.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding your family’s ongoing access to OT services, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
I will of course continue to monitor this situation and update on service amendments as required.
Take care,
Michelle Hughes
