Thank you for the music 🎶

As part of our 2026 theme, we were treated to a vibrant Asian Music & Dance performance, organised by our wonderful carer, Melody. She arranged for performers from different cultures to share their music and dance with our residents and staff.

It was a joyful celebration of culture, connection, and community — and we’re so grateful to Melody for bringing it all together. 💛

Happy Random Acts of Kindness Day 💛

Today at Bethsalem Care, we’re celebrating the small moments that make a big difference.

To mark the day, we’ve created special kindness packs filled with simple ideas to brighten someone’s day - whether that’s a colleague, a resident, or a friend. Because sometimes the most powerful care is found in the smallest gestures.

We’ve also printed postcard-sized appreciation cards for residents and staff to hand out, making it easy to pause, notice, and say, “I see you. Thank you.” A few kind words can travel a long way.

And to show our heartfelt appreciation for the incredible people who care for our community every day, we’re hosting a staff BBQ - a small way of saying thank you for the compassion, dedication, and warmth you bring to Bethsalem Care.

Kindness doesn’t have to be grand to be meaningful. Today is a reminder that care lives in everyday actions - and together, those actions create something beautiful.

Let’s keep the kindness flowing. 💛

Let’s fill Bethsalem Care with music, singing and dancing! Music is such an important part of life and we all have songs or pieces of music that mean something to us, so let’s celebrate!

Our 2026 Leisure and Lifestyle theme for the year is "Thankyou for the music". We’re going to introduce some new activities, as well as incorporating music into many of our existing ones. We’ll be looking for entertainers all through the year, for musical performances or to run music-based sessions for us. Please let one of the staff know how you’d like to be involved!

We invite you and your children (or grandchildren!) to come along to playgroup in 2026! Specially designed for children up to 3 years old, our playgroup sessions include lots of bright colours, equipment for active play and the opportunity for caregivers to catch up with residents as well.

We are so excited to announce that the winner of 2025's Marion Matthews Employee of the Year Award went to 🎉 Tahlia Di**le 🎉.

Tahlia is a Personal Carer who has been at Bethsalem Care for just under two years, and has endeared herself to residents, relatives and staff alike for her quiet, cheerful dedication and for her committed efforts to genuine communication and resident care.

Tahlia received more nominations than any previous winner of the award by a considerable margin, from her peers, supervisors, managers and many residents and relatives. We congratulate Tahlia and thank her for her commitment and demonstration of the values of Bethsalem Care in everything she does.

If you see Tahlia in the hallway this week, please make sure to congratulate and thank her for the part she has played in providing excellent service and quality outcomes for the team and residents at Bethsalem Care!

INTERNATIONAL MEN'S DAY 2025 | Men Leading By Example

Today we’re honouring the men who call Bethsalem Care home, and the volunteers, staff, and carers who support them.

International Men’s Day reminds us of the important contributions men make to their families and communities, while also drawing attention to men’s mental health and well-being. This year’s theme, “Celebrating Men and Boys,” encourages us to recognise the role models who guide and uplift others.

In partnership with Beyond Blue Australia, the day highlights the mental health challenges many boys and men face and the importance of creating supportive, connected communities.

We marked the day with a BBQ Yiros lunch in the Sails Café - a simple way to come together, show appreciation, and reinforce that every man in our community deserves care, connection, and a sense of belonging.
