Play isn’t “just play” — it’s connection, regulation, language and confidence all wrapped up in fun 💙

Here’s how we actually use them:
✨ Speech sound drills: One eraser per correct production to build reps without it feeling repetitive.
✨ Sentence building: Each eraser = one word. Visually supports sentence length, grammar targets, and expanding from 3 to 6+ word sentences.
✨ Guessing games: Describe the eraser without naming it to target attributes, functions, and flexible language. OR ask wh-questions!
✨ Categories: Sort by theme (animals, food, transport), group by features, or identify the “odd one out” to target semantic organisation and vocabulary depth.
✨ Following instructions: Perfect for positional concepts and multi-step directions within play.
✨ Fine motor skills: Use tweezers, hide them in playdough, post them into slots, or sort by size to support coordination alongside communication goals.

These are such a fun way to build listening, describing, and expressive language skills while keeping sessions playful and engaging. Whether it’s giving instructions, following directions, or working on key vocab, barrier games make communication feel like a game — because it is! 😄
