Not strong enough to do full squats or not sure how to start getting stronger legs? Try sit to stand. Without using your hands, engage your core and, with control, sit on a seat. Use your legs to push you into a standing position. Do 10 a day, increasing the number (reps) and times per day (sets) as you get stronger.

We are launching 'ReStart Strong Foundations', a 16 session online course aimed at women wanting to join a live class with other women on their fitness journey. Sessions will include education on health and fitness with a strength based workout in a community of supportive women. The class will be limited to 12 people for a more individual experience. Did you know that after the age of 30, our muscle mass decreases? This happens even quicker once we are over 60. Over time this can lead to increased risk of falls and fractures as well as other health related issues. We all know that we don't want this! The way to slow this down (and even reverse it) is through resistance and weight training.
