After yesterday’s heat, another very hot day is expected tomorrow in Melbourne with temperatures around 41°C and up to 45°C across parts of the state. It is important to plan ahead so you can stay as comfortable as possible.

Helpful tips for tomorrow:

Drink water regularly throughout the day and try to avoid sugary or alcoholic drinks.

Stay indoors during the hottest hours. Close curtains, use fans or air conditioning if you can, and rest often.

Keep movement light and gentle to avoid overheating.

Check in on neighbours, friends, and loved ones, especially anyone who might be vulnerable.

Make sure pets have shade and plenty of fresh water.

If you have a support worker attending a shift tomorrow, please feel free to let them know if you need extra help with cooling, hydration, or setting up your space safely.
