💜 Daily Reminder – Feeling Loved Matters 💜

Sometimes the most powerful support we can give someone isn’t something big — it’s simply helping them feel loved, safe, and valued.

When a child or participant feels loved, they are more confident to explore their emotions, express themselves, and build trust with the people around them.

Love can look like:
✨ Being patient
✨ Listening without judgement
✨ Encouraging their voice
✨ Creating safe routines
✨ Reminding them they matter

Every small moment of kindness and reassurance helps build emotional strength and confidence.

Everyone deserves to feel loved. 💜

🌸 Supporting Grace’s Emotional Growth 🌸

Over Wednesday and Thursday afternoon, Grace and myself started something really special together💜

We started reading the beautiful book “When I’m Feeling Loved.” This story is helping Grace explore what love feels like, how to recognise it, and how those feelings can show up in our everyday lives.

After reading the book each evening, we began introducing Grace’s affirmation cards. I read them with her just before she closes her eyes so she is gently reminded that she is safe, cared for, and surrounded by love. These moments help create a calm and comforting bedtime routine while also building her confidence and emotional awareness.

Grace also created some beautiful artwork related to the theme of love and feeling loved. Through art, she was able to express her feelings in her own creative way, which is such a wonderful way to support emotional understanding. 🎨

It has been so lovely watching Grace engage with the story, the affirmations, and her artwork. Small moments like these can make such a big difference in helping children feel secure, valued, and understood.

I’m very proud of Grace and the effort she is putting into recognising and expressing her feelings 💫

💜Communication in NDIS Supports 💜

Why Communication Matters

Clear and respectful communication is an important part of quality NDIS supports.

Good communication helps participants feel:
✨ Heard
✨ Respected
✨ Understood
✨ Safe

Communication Can Look Like:

✔️ Speaking clearly and respectfully
✔️ Using visual supports or communication aids
✔️ Allowing time for responses
✔️ Listening without interrupting
✔️ Respecting different communication styles

Remember

Everyone communicates in their own way.
Support workers should always adapt communication to meet the participant’s needs.

Understanding builds trust 🍀🎉

💊 The Importance of the 6 Rights of Medication 💜

Medication safety is a critical part of quality support.

The 6 Rights of Medication are in place to protect participants, reduce risk, and ensure safe, consistent care.

These rights aren’t just a checklist. They are about:
• Dignity
• Safety
• Accountability
• Professional responsibility
• Person-centred practice

Taking the time to follow each step carefully helps prevent medication errors and supports positive health outcomes.

Safe practice is always a priority 🌿

🌸 Facebook Status – Supporting Grace’s Goals

I’m excited to share that I will be spending focused, meaningful time with Grace during our evenings together 📚💜

Previously, Grace and I were working towards reading a book at night that focused on emotions. However, due to some personal circumstances, we did get a little off track. I’m happy to say that we will now be starting again and staying focused on this goal moving forward.

Over the next three weeks, we will be reading the same special story each night that I am with her. During this time, we will also be doing fun and engaging activities related to the book to help support Grace in working towards her goal of understanding and recognising her emotions 🌈

To further support her emotional development and build positive routines, I will also be incorporating gentle bedtime affirmations with Grace each night before she goes to sleep. These affirmations will help her feel safe, confident, and supported as she continues to grow and learn.

I’m so proud of the progress she is making, and I feel honoured to be part of her journey 💫

🌸 Facebook Status – Apology & Return

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to take a moment to apologise for being a little quiet and absent on Facebook lately. Life has been busy, and I haven’t been as active as I normally like to be.

I truly appreciate your ongoing support, patience, and kindness. It means so much to me and to the work I do every day.

I’m excited to say that I’ll be starting to post regularly again and sharing updates, information, and positive moments with you all 💜

Thank you for sticking with me — your support never goes unnoticed.
