Judy Sinclair's Conscious Health I love my work. I have a caring and holistic approach to mental well-being. I am happy to see adults, young children, adolescents, couples and families. eg.

I like to take each person as an individual, and work with them to help them achieve their potential. I utilise a variety of therapeutic approaches, and draw on the knowledge and experience I have accumulated over the years. I use creative activities, play and art therapy, as well as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, EMDR, Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy. I have an extensive library and resources, and I aim to keep learning, questioning, and adding to my knowledge through reading, seminars and networking with other professionals. Professional Qualifications -
I completed my Undergraduate Degree at the University of New England, and a Master of Clinical Psychology from Macquarie University. I have a Diploma of Clinical Hypnotherapy. Experience -
I have worked in a variety of settings - Youth Refuges, Dept of Corrective Services, University research, Children with Autism, National Acoustic Laboratories, Psychiatric Hospitals, Community Centres, Consultant Psychologist, Trauma Counsellor, and Private practice. I am a mother of two teenagers. Professional Memberships -

Referrals -
A referral from a doctor is not essential, though certain conditions may attract a rebate from Medicare if you have a referral from your GP, Psychiatrist, or Paediatrician. Dependent on your level of cover, Health Funds may also offer a rebate. Medicare bulk-billing is available for those with a Health Care Card or in financial difficulty. Confidentiality -
I work in accordance with the APS Code of Ethics, and the Guidelines of AHPRA - Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Authority. Your personal information and privacy will be respected and stored securely. C
All personal information gathered by the psychologist during the provision of the psychological service will remain confidential and secure except where:
1. It is subpoenaed by a court, or
2. Failure to disclose the information would place you or another person at serious and imminent risk; or
3. Your prior approval has been obtained to
a) provide a written report to another professional or agency. a GP or a lawyer; or
b) discuss the material with another person, eg. a parent or employer;
or if disclosure is otherwise required or authorised by law. Hours -
Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
Earlier appointments, Weekends, and After-hours available by negotiation. Treatments usually last 50 minutes, and are available by appointment only. Please leave a message, as I do not answer the phone while I am in session with a client. Enquiries -

Fear-based "discipline" may "work" in the short-run, but the negative consequences it imparts negates any potential value it could have as a parenting tool. Let's make 2018 the year of evolving our culture by leaving fear behind and choosing conscious parenting instead.
