Today is world ovarian cancer day.

There is not yet a screening program for ovarian cancer, and the early stages are mostly symptomless.

However, symptoms are noted during the advanced stages and may include:

Abdominal enlargement or swelling
Abdominal fullness and pain
Pain in lower abdomen
Feeling full after eating very little
Tiredness
Changes in bowel or bladder habits
Clothes not fitting well
Swelling of legs
Shortness of breath
Bleeding from va**na
Abnormal menstrual cycles
Weight loss or gain
Unexplained back pain

Please listen to your body and know these signs. If you have any concerns at all, talk to your GP today about a referral for a scan. It could save your life.

Thanks to all of our patients for your... well, patience, as we brave the heat at our Mt Tamborine clinic.

The recent Gold Coast storms have left the mountain with unprecedented damages. We are extremely lucky that our only issue has been a damaged air-conditioner and that we were able to open as usual throughout January.

Our heart goes out to other businesses and families on Mt Tamborine and in other weather-affected areas that are still doing it tough - particularly during this heat wave.

Remember to drink lots of water, seek shelter in air-conditioned buildings (such as libraries and shopping centres) during the middle of the day and avoid the sun where possible.

Please note that all of our clinics (Helensvale, Browns Plains and Mt Tamborine) will be closed tomorrow - Friday 26 January.

We will re-open as normal on Monday 29 January across all clinics.

This is in line with a gazetted public holiday and contractual obligations to our staff; and is not a political statement.

Did you know that you do not need an appointment for an x-ray? You can simply turn up to one of our clinics with a valid referral (the referral does not have to be addressed to us - it can be for any radiology clinic) and we will slot you in ASAP!!

Life is too short to wait in pain.

You can find us today in Helensvale, Browns Plains and Mt Tamborine (this clinic will re-open on 8 January).

✔ enter your details once
✔ open the app when you next visit us
✔ select ‘Check in Now’ and hover your smartphone over our QR code

Using this digital check-in means your details are stored securely by the Queensland Government for

As we are an essential service, all our clinics are OPEN during lockdown, so you do not have to wait in pain.

We accept ALL referrals for other providers.

Most of our services (including ultrasound guided injections) are BULK-BILLED.

WALK-INS accepted for x-rays. For all other services, we will fit you in urgently, often on the same day.

We are following strict hygiene protocols to ensure the safety of all our valued staff and patients.

It is a condition of entry that masks are worn, in line with government regulations. If you have a medical condition that prohibits this, please let us know.
